Democrats don't read and ignore history, thus their fascination with communism.
The rest of us who can read do not need to directly experience the misery of communism to know we do not want to live under it.
I don’t know anyone who seeks to live under a Communistic regime. Do you?
I don’t know anyone who advocates for the federal government to control the means of production. Do you?
I don’t know anyone who advocates for the taking of private property, despite the Constitution allowing it, provided fair market value is paid. Do you?
The Nordic model is a blend of a capitalist economy with socialized values. Huge difference between the Nordic model and communism.
I am not tracking why some, otherwise reasonable people, are buying into propaganda. And somehow think POTUS is King Kong.
I had to have some blood work done for my annual check-up.I was wearing a hat with a police blue line logo. The woman commented you support the police? I then told her I also supported President Trump. She went on to tell me she was from Albania and had been in the United States for over 24 years. She went on to say that she thought the American people really don't realize how bad communism is. I continued to listen. She went on to say that and her country of Albania was a communist regime. I never knew this. She stated that people walked on eggshells of what they had said to be very careful about their communist government. She said you see that hat you got on. They would not ask you to take that hat off they would shoot you first. She started crying. She then told me that some of her family members were murdered. She really started sobbing when she told me they shot and killed her mother and two of her relatives. She stated she made her way out of Albania to the United States. This poor woman what she had been through and now she stated that she's so afraid of Communism and she sees the signs of everything that they're doing of what she saw in her own communist country. She went on to tell me that the people here in this country do not realize what Communism is. She said she never thought that this country would ever allow what is happening today.I I'll never forget this conversation.
I've heard essentially the same story from at least five people who lived through, and escaped communism. Because people in this nation have never had to live under those sorts of governments, they don't understand the horror. And besides, they think that nothing like that could ever happen here and that somehow the sorts of people who run a totalitarian government are now miraculously different than they were years ago (see below quoted post). They ignore nations like North Korea and China. Sadly, nobody seems to understand the importance of knowing history. Nobody will read. Nobody will research such matters. They are too busy dinking with their stupid damn phones and too worried about being able to shoot up with drugs and too worried about being able to marry their pet dog. Totally warped priorities. Add to that the brainwashing they got in school (like how communism is good now, not bad like it used to be), and we've got a powder keg ready to explode.

My mother lived through WWII, working in German factories while they were bombed nightly. She left Serbia with two of her sisters for Germany in 1941 to be foreign guest workers after Serbian communists killed their father. She and her sisters were displaced persons when she married my father in Munich in 1945. He was a combat GI who fought from Sicily to the battle of the Bulge to Berlin. My cousins lived through the Communist takeover of Yugoslavia and have a good life in Serbia today. My best friend's parents in college in the 1960's were survivors of Auschwitz and Buchenwald and Bergen Belson, and my Mom's best friend was an Auschwitz survivor. I think I would do just fine whatever happens. But more importantly I am doing fine now, unlike people living imaginary paranoid fantasies about the future. A coward dies a thousand deaths, a brave man dies just one. Fear is a cancer that makes you lose your ability to reason or act in any situation where you need all your faculties.

Well, our opinions are so different it's pointless to discuss any further. Just wonder what motivates you to create these imaginary doomsday scenarios just because the country elected a Democratic President and VP. I defected communist regime and I feel so bad to see so many American supporting Socialism! For the past 25 yrs I was registered Democrat when I found out Democrats are support socialism I #WalkAwayFromDemocrats! I do not want or wish to be part of it! I had enough when I lived under communist regime! If it was soo good why people would put their life in risk to defect communis to go anywhere? Some Democrats say it is not your grandpa's "Socialism" To me when you hear Socialism, is no different than Fascism, Naszim and Communism who killed more people world wide than both Fascist & Naszt did combine!
