It's a definite schadenfreude moment for sure. When oil spiked last week I knew gas would follow so I went and filled up all three of our vehicles for $1.52 and made a note of the price. We'll see what it is in 2 and 4 years. My household can easily afford $4-5 a gallon gas but it will be kinda nice watching Biden voters reap what they sowed.

Fast forward to 2020, and America is energy independent, thanks in part to Trump supporting fracking and oil extraction and coal production. Right now, we are in the gloriously wonderful position to be able to tell the OPECs of the world to take a hike. But if Biden bans fracking, and puts more restrictions on oil and coal, then get ready for OPEC to call the shots again. And get ready for higher prices on pretty much everything.
dems seldom look past their noses when enacting laws, rules policies, etc.

They are part of the "instant gratification" group and SELDOM look at the long term consequences.

W Bush had caves dug deep into the Utah mountains where the Mt is made up of extremely hard rock.

One of obama's FIRST decisions was to NOT OPEN USE the facility for nuclear waste.

So, to answer your question, we have PLENTY of places to store the spent rods.
Right, let's store radiological waste, that is dangerous for , what , 100,000 years in caves in the pristine mountains of Utah. Hey better yet, lets store it under one of the great lakes ? What could possibly go wrong ? It is good to see that this idea was shot down.
I'm all for alternative methods of energy, as long as it's done logically. And cost effective for the end user.
