States get to decide for themselves, so I only skimmed your list. It's irrelevant.

I do want to point out that plenty of American citizens live overseas who are not in the military. They also have the right to vote.

Bingo.

Paper ballots for everyone.

Voting should not be limited to those who can afford to wait in line for hours to vote.

The problem with this plan is if everyone votes, Republicans won't win much.

Such as out of state students who remain residents in their home state.

Retired people who spend a couple winter months in warmer states.

Embassy employees stationed around the world.

In a way that makes it easy for as many citizens to vote as possible. That's democracy.

The GOP has worked harder and harder to stop the poor and people of color from voting. Not everyone can take time off from work to vote on one day, or has a car to drive to a polling place miles and miles from their home.

I never heard any complaints about largely rural states in the midwest who have voted almost entirely by mail for years. Now that trump lost all of a sudden it's a huge issue.

National holiday. Celebrate democracy while we still have it. Or at least on a weekend, but preferably a holiday.

I think the way my Arkansas county does it is absolutely perfect, and I'd like to see it spread across the nation:

2 weeks of in-person, early voting at any open precinct. Very convenient and they had their Covid protocols well developed.

Must show picture ID.

Machines generate a paper ballot with both candidate names and barcodes, so you can instantly see that your votes are correct.

You walk across the room with your ballot and place it into a scanner which sucks it through and drops the ballot into a secure box, just like it used to be with punch cards.

Absentee requires significant proof of necessity.

As I recall, my county posted results by 10 pm after the polls closed at 7:30 pm.

I'm not at all opposed to making Election Day a holiday, but realize that there are still millions who will need to work. Hospitals, grocery stores, light and power companies, security companies, and many, many other types of businesses and services need to stay open on holidays.

My state is as Republican as they come and Trump beat Hillary Clinton by 27 points and yet our equally Republican state legislature has instituted 2 weeks of early in-person voting. This has been in place now for nearly a decade.

Also, please list the "largely rural states in the midwest" that have voted "almost entirely by mail for years."

How should the NEXT major election be held? A single "Election day", paper ballots only, no early voting, no mail-in?
Every eligible voter should be mailed a ballot, which they can fill out and send back.

Nope. That's the single worst way to do it if you care about election integrity and fraud.
