My fear with Joe Biden is that he doesn't have the balls like Trump does to tell scientists like Dr Fauci that their recommendations don't work in the real world. Some of the things health officials like Dr Fauci say is great advice but other things are probably more harmful than good despite good intentions.
So your argument is that we're doing "well" because of Trump overriding Dr. Fauci?
Because Trump said the country will be "open by Easter"...and here we are.
We are basically wasting the lives of younger Americans and global youth by keeping these restrictions going for the next several years while nearly every single person is vaccinated. It would save a tremendous amount of time and money to simply vaccinate those at most risk of dying from the virus and those who are needed to maintain the medical system.
You've touched on what I believe is the real issue/goal, which is the normalization and general acceptance of being told what to do, where to go, who you can associate with, etc. by the government.
It begins with the children. If they can normalize these things for just a few years, always with the promise of getting "back to normal in just a few months," then those impressionable minds have had a very significant impression made upon them. One that we haven't seen in this country since its inception.
Once the youngest think this is all normal and expected, we're done. It doesn't matter how hard we fight, or how successful we think we've been. Once those kids reach their late teens, the idea is cemented into society. It's just a matter of time.
That's why we have to fight these restrictions with everything we have, RIGHT NOW. Waiting until next year or the next election isn't good enough. Each day that passes with the public accepting these unconstitutional and inhumane restrictions makes it that much harder to reverse.
When this Covid - 19 virus is no longer working for the lefts control of the population China will send us another one !!! Why not, when it has worked so well in achieving their goal to be the world power !!!

We probably won’t be allowed to attend live concerts, attend live sports events, or travel internationally until we get the vaccine. For me, that’s incentive enough to get it as soon as possible.

I have doubled my Vit D dosage, with my doctor’s approval, from 2000 to 4000 mg a day.
Both my wife I have been on Vitamin D supplements for a while before moving to the beach. When the FL beaches reopened in May, we went every chance we could, often 4-6 times a month. My tan was amazing!
But aside from relocation to the beach, living in a much-improved area, and reduced work stress, we haven't made any real dietary changes or increased exercise. Yet, both our first set of labs since moving were much improved across the board. Both of us now have an opportunity to de-medicate as a result.
Reduced stress is definitely a big factor. But being outside, relaxing, enjoying the fresh air, and naturally increasing our Vitamin D levels through sunlight exposure - I think that was the key.

Vaccines for a disease with a 0.14% mortality rate should be suspect from the start. When certain statistical anomalies concerning the disease are examined, the initial suspicion should turn to outright distrust.
Trumpers have so much medical and scientific expertise, why don't you all form your own pharmaceutical company and profit? In fact, a typical Trumper will claim to know the real truth behind everything while everyone else is deluded. I often wonder why Trumpers are not the richest people in the world with so much exclusive knowledge.

Notice how I used the word "choice" there. Since I care about none of the things you mentioned there, perhaps I might make a different "choice," eh? But I should certainly have that choice to make.
