Osteen and the commercialization of religion are representative of a lot of what is wrong with this country. He embodies many of the things Jesus actually warned about. Greed, lust, selfishness, etc
Businesses that don't pay taxes shouldn't get bailed out by the public coffers.
The money goes to the employees, who in fact do pay taxes on that income.
If I run a non-profit that helps provide after school day care and meals to poor kids and shut down while the schools are closed, should my employees not receive any money via the PPP program while the employees of the bar down the street or the ones that work for a corporation do?
You guys seem to hate this because you either don't like churches or your political affiliation which is all fine and great but in this case the depiction\implication being presented by a clearly biased atheist group is intentionally dishonest.
Ok, so you hate whathisface, I can understand that.
Now, after reading about the PPP program, can you describe specifically what is wrong here besides him being a pig, moronic, selfish etc. because in your entire post you just called the guy names but never said why this is wrong.
The money is meant to keep various worker bees employed and not laid off. Given the broad nature of the program there can certainly be flaws, but this thread is basically a rant about religion and this dude and not PPP.
For example, I hate the Knicks but if they got PPP to keep their janitors and other staff at say a training facility employed then I have no beef with it despite the owners being super rich. We can understand why the workers are being aided while acknowledging we don't like the boss.

.
Yes but the business doesn't pay taxes. How hard is that to understand? So the federal government gets back 20% of what they gave to those workers... great. They still lost 80% of it and the taxpayers still get none of it back. And the televangelist grifter essentially pockets all of it since he saves money on paying his employees. He should be able to pay his employees with all the savings from not paying taxes. Maybe even sell a mansion or two. Why should the taxpayer have to do it?
But he's doing God's work, and God's work is expensive!
