Just thinking out loud........ say one received both Pfizer shots AND also had the virus....... does that compound your ability to fight off the virus? How many people have actually had it without even knowing it?
The above is 100% true. What the study does show is that it’s ridiculous to insist that individuals previously infected get the vaccination. When the vaccination was in limited supply it was a mistake to vaccinate the previously infected prior to individuals at slightly lower risk who had not been infected. But of course, part of the problem with that, which they still don’t own up to, is there were so many false positives you couldn’t count that those with no symptoms or just cold like symptoms really were previously infected, despite their positive test results.
Once again, the more we learn the more we find out Rand Paul has been right and Dr. Fauci has been wrong.
Is there any way, Governor Insley will give you friendly ear? As he is next to leaving hundreds if not thousands of people in his state without job. Apparently, his "advisors" convinced him that everyone needs to be vaccinated, even those frontline workers that are, by now, well over a year immersed into cloud of COVID virus and still keep working.
Discussion is fine. Pushing misinformation as fact is not fine. Many people here are guilty of that.
That's what a discussion is. If someone 'pushes misinformation as fact,' any person is free to refute it in the next post. Some people would like to prevent certain views from seeing the light of day. That's a horrible idea. Have you ever heard the phrase "if they'll do it with ya, they'll do it to ya?" The second the establishment narrative is no longer served by facts, those facts will be labeled 'misinformation' and disappear.
Much of the information that I see is debatable, on some level. Someone posts a brand new study, or article, claiming that it conclusively shows X. But upon further inspection, things aren't that simple. That isn't 'pushing misinformation as fact.' That's just normal discussion.
Discussion is fine. Pushing misinformation as fact is not fine. Many people here are guilty of that.
The problem is when the definition of “misinformation” becomes too broad, like the policy on YouTube. They define ANY disagreement with the CDC or WHO to be “misinformation”. In this case, a lot of legitimate dissent gets effectively censored unless its author is able to find another, equivalent platform, which is difficult given the “oligopoly” possessed by Big Online Media.
The type of misinformation prompted by some of the conspiracy theorists is absurd and I support a private company’s right to take it down. But some safeguards should be in place so that you are allowed to say things other than parroting the exact recommendations and interpretations of the governmental bodies and powers that be.
I am all in favor of scientocracy, but sometimes the pendulum swings too far the other way and it turns to technocracy.
The difference is a person has to get infected to get any natural immunity but a vaccine does not cause infection. This is another out of context post.
It's sad that this needs to be pointed out. Repeatedly.
of course let's ignore one pesky little detail - to have this wonderful natural immunity, you first have to survive COVID. 600,000 americans and millions world wide would have preferred the jab.
Some people, like the OP have a predefined view on things and seek out information they think supports it. Typically they don't understand it, as is the case here.

Yes, the current research shows the highest protection is just that scenario.
