This is from The Economist - in other words, they're neither party here. And this shows the gulf between beingprofessional adults and whiny entitled losers, between being good sports and bad sports, between being American and UnAmerican.
Among republicans’ favourite grievances over the past four years is a claim that Democrats never accepted the results of the 2016 election. In fact, nine hours after the Associated Press called the election for Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton took to a much smaller stage than she had hoped to command to say that she had “congratulated Donald Trump, and offered to work with him on behalf of our country.” Soon afterward, then-President Barack Obama said he would “make sure that this is a successful transition...we are now all rooting for [Mr Trump’s] success in uniting and leading the country.” Democrats may not have liked the result, but they did nothing to prevent Mr Trump from taking office. https://www.economist.com/united-sta...ection-fantasy
Trump never learned from history. Reagan and Tip O'Neill were opposites on the political spectrum. But when the day was over, they would settle down for a drink. When articles of impeachment were drawn up in the House against Reagan over Iran/Contra, O'Neill killed the bill, it never got out of committee. There is a great video of Reagan, O'Neil, their wives at an inaugural event, Rodney Dangerfield was the comedian, they were always able to have a laugh together.

Funny Obama said something about a peaceful transition since he made it anything but.

Well, not having needed it spelled out, those such as Hillary and Obama are intelligent, respectful and proper adults. Others would have handled it well, also. This is the only time having seen such a disaster in the WH.
I can imagine how differently (and better) things would have been having had an appropriate president in charge.
I voted for Trump twice. I wish he would concede and a peaceful White House transition takes place. Do I support Biden, hell no. But he is still the President.
Yes, I saw one of your other posts along the same line. Thank you. I like that you show us that it's the American way that, even if your candidate doesn't win, you understand that the loser is supposed to concede and not try to undermine the system. He's been complaining about an imaginary Democratic coup, but what he's trying to engineer is really a coup - even trying to get the military to back him.

Trump never learned from history - because he probably never read about any history since he graduated in the 1960's, and because he probably didn't pay much attention to politics except as it later affected his own finances.
One nice thing about Biden is that Biden was a part of that time when relations were more amicable, and he might be able to try to turn the tide. There's been no one comparable since George H. W. Bush, I think.

What are you talking about? Did Obama urge Hillary to contest the election? Did he demand recounts across the country? Did he rant online or at press conferences that Trump's election was illegitimate? Did he encourage Democrats to agitate and protest? Did he attack government officials as corruptly undermining the election?

What????? How did Obama not make a peaceful transition to Trump? What in the world are you talking about? Oh, wait a minute. I remember now. He screamed election fraud when Trump won, then filed over 50 lawsuits with various courts, then refused to concede even when everyone and his mother told him to move on and almost two months later still maintained he won the election. Oh, wait . . .

No, they just spent three years pushing their phony Russian collusion conspiracy theory on the public.

Actually Trump wasn't exonerated. And many of his cronies went to prison for it.
