Whose ignorance and whose bigotry? The Lesbian couple seeking services from someone whom they know will not give them the service and why --- ? That in itself show bigotry towards the values themselves and the people that will uphold them.

Or the ones turning them away?

Who is being taught a lesson and what lesson do we learn, from those teaching it?

When the Supreme Court passed the law, (1963) banning school prayer, then any one and everyone conducting a prayer on a school campus became victims of law suits. A teacher consoling another student (there was a car accident, one student died) in the hallway, both heads bowed in prayer, the teacher would find themselves in a court room. Not by the student, but by those who witnessed and observed what they were doing.

Bigotry is a door that swings both ways. Ignorance can be had by all.

True --- and while it doesn't have to do with the question asked concerning remarrying after divorce, knowing Paul (the Corinthians) wrote the Biblical text on it, it is through Paul, the Christian receives direction.

To think all the social constructs brought up by man are presentable and verified by Jesus is folly. He exhibits the teachings he has given us, including those concerning marriage.

I take from your comments if they had been operating a church, you would have no problem with their decision. But by taking their same convictions to a service outside the church, they are bigots? Do they forfeit their right to religion when they leave the church building, or are expected to become different people? If those involved were same sex couples, I wouldn't be surprised. Why would you think differently?
Because Jesus was a progressive. To feel otherwise is a perversion of his message.

Where does it say they knew they would not be given service before they tried?

The only school prayer banned is that led by public school employees. Any student can say a prayer before a test or say grace before lunch. The teacher cannot lead the pretest prayer or grace before a meal.

The teacher consoling the student could do so and offer the prayer later.

They did not know that the owner's beliefs would deny them the venue nor did the couple seek the publicity. Like so many young people, it was on facebook and a wedding planner ran with it.

The company's policy should have been on their website. As of today, its still not on their website.

This couple is out of luck though. As the article mentions there are no state protections in North Carolina or federal legislation banning anti-LGBTQ discrimination in public accommodations. Just find another venue and go on with your lives.

Wait, wait, wait.... the bible says a man should not lie with another man... Does not mention women.
Written in the days of many wives, is why.
How are they with polygamy?

“I had hoped that this wouldn't happen in North Carolina, but I thought there was a chance it may. I didn't expect it from a venue in Winston,” added Mayfield, 25, who has lived in the area for the past 10 years. May, 29, was born and raised in Winston-Salem.

Then the couple not want publicity shared it on a public facebook account.
