Yes, they do. Remember that pizzagate guy? They believe Trump was outing the pedophiles and their underground operation.
I found out recently someone I slightly know (friend of a friend) is convinced that crap is real. This is an upper middle class woman who seemed intelligent and normal. Not only does she believe, but she just disowned her 3 sons because they tried to intervene and reason with her. Apparently in her view the only reason her sons don’t see the “truth” is because they went to a “liberal” college and were “indoctrinated”.
This woman is not mentally ill or unstable, but somehow she fell down the rabbit hole of BS and now believes a conspiracy theory centered around activity at a...... pizza parlor?

I have no idea what actually goes on inside those heads, and I sure don't want a close-up and personal view.
there's a few posters right here on C-D that espouse ideas I'm pretty sure are QAnon-inspired.

Yes, they do. They would hold two conflicting conspiracy beliefs at the same time - for instance, that in states where Republicans were elected to the House or Senate, while Biden won the state for President, the election was "stolen", the ballot box was stuffed, the machines were tampered with - even after recounts confirmed the results.
Qanon's conspiracy "theories" are just re-workings of the blood libels against Jews in medieval (and to this day) Europe, that Jews killed Christian children to use their blood to bake in Passover Matzohs, and that a Jewish cabal controls the world. These conspiracy lies are very useful in controlling people, mobilizing them to join in hatred of the "other" people. Just look at the Nazi party in Germany in the 20's and 30's.
