Nancy Pelosi has said that one of the main reasons she wants to impeach Trump, even with only 11 more days remaining in his presidency, is that he then cannot run in 2024. Now I seriously doubt he will choose to do that, but if he does, shouldn’t voters be able to say whether they want him or not?
As it stands, she is effectively saying that most of the 75 million Trump voters might vote for him again (should he run again) and thus wants to remove that option from the electorate. Clearly, she thinks half of all voting Americans are too stupid, or morally inferior, or deplorable, or whatever, to voice their opinion in an election, but in a free country, even those one considers stupid (which is a subjective opinion) are entitled to a vote.
I say.....let the people decide, in a fair and honest election.

And you can bet a good number of those 74 million have now jumped ship. We've seen a good number of hard core former MAGAs take off their hats right here in this very forum. Most decent Americans never signed up to support insurrection.
People who incite mobs to overthrow the government should not be allowed to then lead that same government. I'm not sure why this seems so difficult for you to understand, OP.

Actually I don't know it, neither do you. If Pelosi and her minions really believed all you say they wouldn't be doing what they are doing. Get used to it, he's staying around in one form or another, like it or not.

Nancy Pelosi is the most wretched, evil woman who has ever been anywhere near public office.
A movie that became very well-known was made about her just before she was born. Amazing clairvoyance to get her character nailed down so well, with such a terrific likeness. Have we ever seen a congressperson carrying a bucket of water in the chamber? You never know when you may need it.
There should be no such option in law for any congress to prohibit any impeached official from holding office ever again. I haven't looked it up, but assuming that there is such an option, it was clearly written in a different age....for a different age. Anyone who believes that their opinion should override all others for eternity needs to be doused with a bucket of water.

To make sure he is never allowed anywhere near power again. And 11 days in the life of a mad man who is going off the rails could be a very long period of time indeed.
This is your opinion only. If the majority don't share your opinion, oh well. Since I have never heard anyone exhibit much concern for making the Republican viable, why is everyone suddenly so concerned.

Neither trump or his relatives will darken the white house steps . America spoke on Nov 3 to elect a leader for the people.
The system has qualifiers for running for political leadership roles.
Trump need not apply, he's disqualified . He can go bunk up with the Dukes in their compound.
