That is her perspective and her opinion. Neither of which deserve misunderstanding . Thats demeaning to do such. Empathy would go a wee bit further. Humans tend to strive for that in this age of disarray.
I experienced the riots and mayhem of the 1960's civil riots held in my home town. As a child I was absolutely terrified. My age today wouldn't make it any less terrifying either. The experience does impact a person. Until you walk a mile in those shoes.....

There is little chance this is really her perspective, it is simply the narrative her handlers want put forward. Her unfounded accusations against fellow congress members is demeaning and damaging to the country. She is a disgrace as always.
Given how much some of you guys seem to hate AOC and the vitriol aimed at her daily, I’m not surprised she was terrified. Whether you agree with her policies, like her or what she stands for, it’s not exactly a stretch to think she feared for her life when people were storming the Capitol. They beat a police officer to death, you really think she was safe if they’d managed to get their hands on her? If you do, your hatred for her blinds your naivety about her safety.
The irony of lecturing others on naivety..... AOC said she did not feel secure in the safe room, concerned that QAnon and white nationalist adjacent colleagues knew her location and "would create opportunities to allow me to be hurt, kidnapped."
If you believe this is true, or that AOC believed it to be true, you are delusional.
I wouldn't try to get cute with this topic, G B & Ugly.
It could come back on you in a serious way.
The mob bashed a cop's brains out with a fire extinguisher, were carrying guns and other lethal weapons, and were seen carrying zip-tie handcuffs, a favorite tool for taking people.
At 120 pounds and being the object of right-wing hate, AOC had every right to be afraid. The mob threatened to hand Mike Pence, so what would they do to her?
More than just murder her, that's for sure.

You do know Lauren Boebert, R-CO, was doing exactly that to Speaker Pelosi right? She tweeted she had constituents outside just before the evac and then disobeyed the SAA instructions to not disclose ANYONE's locations.
So tell me again how AOC was exaggerating her fears about being betrayed by her colleagues across the aisle.
