I think this thread is the epitome of the pathetic shamble of the GOP. With the crowd chanting " hang Pence" which was one of their own it would be logical for her to be in fear. If the right leader like Pence, Pelosi, or AOC were captured that day and with the crowd whipped up in a frenzy there would be a good chance a hanging could have took place. The crowd had the gallows and make shift nooses so I can see and understand their fear,
FBI has received more than 100,000 videos and images of the rioters inside and outside the Capital buildings. There is no question the Capital Police were outnumbered. As more information becomes available each day, it’s likely most of Congress and their aides feel increased anxiety and a sense of trauma. There is no question every singe one of them is haunted by “ what if”.

You weren't there, you have no idea how anyone felt as it was happening. People did die, the mob chanted hang Mike Pence and were looking for Nancy Pelosi, which is how they ended up at her office. Maybe she's being dramatic, or maybe she really felt that way, seems strange for you to judge another person's experience.

Well, none of the trespassers were armed and the only shot fired was one that killed an unarmed and diminutive female trespasser ...I guess that meets some folks definition of an armed insurrection in the Capital Building.
