Im assuming most people celebrate 4th of July every year...
If so, you are celebrating a violent overthrow of a standing govt.
its interesting to note, at the time of the American Revolution, only about 1/3 of the colonists supported breaking away from England, 1/3 wanted to remain obedient to England, (the other 1/3 didnt care either way)...
But the American Revolution went down in history as a 'good thing', our kids are taught it was patriotic and that we should be proud of this.
There are many similarities to current events if you look at the facts
Regular citizens took up arms, formed rag tag militias during the American Revolution...to FIGHT AGAINST THEIR OWN GOVT.
I would love to hear someone explain or try to justify how one can celebrate how we became and free and separate nation...and at the same time, be against 'violence in politics'....?....Anyone?

You don't even know what you're fighting for, but I know what you're fighting against: democracy and the rule of law.
