Yikes, this is not looking good. I guess his COVID task force won't be good enough or his promise of 1 million vaccines per day isn't going too well.

Democrats told us the vaccine was the silver bullet to solve everything and the numbers just keep going up.

In 2024, the GOP will have a lot of ammunition when they blame all this on Biden like Democrats did for Trump.
This is really not a surprise. He has repeatedly said that things would get worse before they get better. The vaccine doesn’t cure people with active Covid and the distribution has not been carried out well so far to activate immunity among the population. Those cases were already there and climbing before Biden took office. Once the immunity gains a strong foothold, I would expect that cases and deaths would decrease.

The Biden plan is "If you're celebrating you are immune and don't need a mask".

Are you and all your buddies wearing masks? To get to herd mentality, oops, herd immunity, we need 80 to 90% compliance. He did his job, he asked us all to wear masks for 100 days. I don't think Biden is going to issue fines for non-compliance. I know this: We are a freedom loving nation, sometimes that means the freedom to be stupid.

I am sick and tired of everyone who adopts convenient versions of "facts" that aren't the whole truth.

It's not true that Trump "mishandled" COVID or left Biden with a **** show, and it's not true that Biden will do any better, or probably, any worse.

The truth is, we've had a virus. And then we had a bunch of bureaucrats running around trying to cure something that had no cure.

We have completely upended our entire country over this thing. Trump acted on the best info he had, and did as well as could be expected. On the vaccine, he enabled progress that is FAR better than could have been expected a year ago. Biden will probalby do the best he can too, but the info has been and will continue to be deeply flawed, conflicting, and in many cases, contrary to common sense.

We've done damage to our economy and our collective psyche that is far worse than the death count. We're on our way with a vaccine coming, but it can't come too soon at this point. We'll cure the virus, not sure yet on the rest of us, if the comments here are any indication.

God help us.

There’s probably hundreds of mutations we don’t know about. The vaccines won’t even keep up. I think we just have to come to terms that covid is stuck with us for a long time and go and carry on as normal at this point

So you don't think Trump snubbing the early days of COVID had anything to do with where we are now? How do you think his base took to his messaging?

Uh-oh, a President that tells unpleasant truths rather than sugarcoated lies. Republicans aren't going to like that.

2024 should be good for the GOP as long as they don't nominate someone from the Trump clan. Stick to message and have a better messenger.

Regarding the vaccine rollout. Biden will get credit for ending the pandemic just like Obama got credit for ending the recession. Rightly or wrongly that is what will happen. That being said having a POTUS who is proactive about the pandemic and vaccine situation is better than one who was not. I am not a fan of Biden but at least he has a plan. We will see how his plan works out.

Well President Biden, that blame is now on your shoulders. Every day that someone dies from covid from here on is YOUR FAULT.

Let's do a little calculation. Inaugurated on January 20, 2021. Today is January 22, 2021. Two days as president. In two days as president, it's all his fault? That's a VERY high bar. And BTW- Trump said Covid was a democratic hoax. Trump said it was going to go away by Easter. And what a great example. He never once wore a mask.
