The problem is that you believe that their valid beliefs are "extremist" because you dislike those beliefs.

We believe:

- Government can't pay for such programs as the Green New Deal because there is not enough wealth.
- The wealth in the country comes from productive work dome, not government spending.
- There is no wealth fairy to bestow wealth on government. Government steals it in taxes.
- We have the right to keep most of the money we earn.
- We have the Constitutional rights to our speech, our beliefs, our religions, and our guns.
- Government has no right to force liberal beliefs on the rest of us.
- The fact that science says it does not mean that we have to do it.

Understand that in "some places" the nutty paranoid conspiracy ideas of someone like Marjorie Taylor Greene are actually celebrated. Their representatives are terrified that they will lose their gravy train jobs in Congress if they dare to oppose these cultists.

In reality it's the tyranny of the minority, because there is no way that these far-Right wingnuts represent the average American. Problem is that half the voting public didn't even bother to go to the polls in the last two elections. This allowed a minority, about 25% of the voting public to elect Trump via the EC in 2016 and almost re-elected him in 2020. No matter how you cut it, this extreme faction represents no more than 20% or so of the voting public. Probably less as time goes on, as the more intelligent ones begin to understand the real nature of their allies (OathKeepers, Proud Boys, Three Percenters, just to name a few).

The average American can hardly figure out where the grocery store is. Now figurethat half are stupider than that.
