We’d already be living somewhat normal lives if the last administration had tried to control things at all.
Just for the sake of making my position clear, I think Trump will go down in history as the worst president ever. But... Republicans do not want our country to be mired in a pandemic just to hurt Biden and the Democrats. That sounds like it came from a far-left website that concocts conspiracy theories, sort of like the lefts equivalent of NewsMax. You are basically talking about a political demographic willing to flirt with illness and even death just to make a president look bad. You want to rethink that?

I will grant you that those who tend to vote conservative are more likely to protest wearing a mask and to forgo getting vaccinated. That is as much a display of ignorance of the disease than anything political. Those same people protested masks 6 months ago when Trump was president.

I don't think it's a political issue. I didn't vote for Trump. Then again, I didn't vote for Biden, either.
I'm of the opinion that both parties sold out America a long time ago.

Most people don’t seem to wear masks outdoors.

I rarely see anyone walking their dog while masked. I sure don’t. When I encounter someone, I keep my distance as do they. This really is not difficult.

I know a lot of people who've gotten COVID, and NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON doesn't know where they got it from.

Not one single person, can say "every time I went out in public, indoors, I wore a mask, and that's the only contact I've had with other people".

ALL of them had maskless close contact with those they don't live with.

So there's that. I know that's anecdotal, but that's better than the info you're arguing with, OP, which is none.

My hope is that enough of us do the right thing and take off our masks, many that may have been deceived will discover the truth.
If I encounter you, I will put serious distance between us and move on.

If you acquire Covid and are asymptomatic or pre- symptomatic, you become a part of the spread, if those you encounter can’t or won’t distance from you.

I prefer to be a part of the solution.

My anecdotals are the complete opposite of ClaraC.
They all wore masks. They hardly went anywhere. They have no idea where they picked it up and they didn't infect their own family members.

Seems to me most who have been infected are more inclined to say they don’t know how they got infected.

I think most do know and prefer to portray otherwise.

I have long lost track of the people I know who have become infected. One in particular, said he had no clue. He spent a few days in the hospital. Then his wife got sick. She is hospitalized on a vent. Both are mid 40’s with no medical conditions.

Guy and wife were regulars at a local bar/ restaurant, that like most independent bars/ restaurants in my area did not close when ordered to do so. Something about the 2-3 pre dinner glasses of wine at the crowded bar with friends must have escaped them.

Like you said, it’s anecdotal. And there is a pattern.

Saw that.

Biden has been vaccinated. Nonetheless, it was a lousy optic.

Trump said he thought he looked like The Lone Ranger is a mask. Did those closest to him not show him the mask does not cover the eyes.

Sorry Bubba, I will continue to do the right thing and wear two masks in public...Sad that you believe such nonsense, and it may be fatal for you as well.

Ok you asked a direct and fair question:

My best one is that in occult rituals it is often required that initiates wear masks and stand 6 feet apart.
