The project identified hundreds of spill over coronaviruses and cold have made the difference in early vaccines.
Look, we know it's just a matter of time before this happens again. Pulling funding from projects where these viruses originate could pose a national security risk. We need to know what's out there and we have to work together globally to be prepared. Cutting funding for these projects and disbanding our pandemic response team? Idiotic. Eyes on the geopolitical adversary? Better than boots on the ground.
Sadly, It wont make a damn bit of difference. It wont be discussed. It will be a shouting match of insults between the plebs until it is not. Social media will 'fact check/censor' it.
