i have rightwing acquaintances who use the term illegals and i tell them killing Jews was "legal" in Nazi Germany..Rosa parks was a criminal she broke the law....

the right has many doom and gloom scenarios in their imaginations with lots of slippery slope they want a world that corresponds to their imaginary one

They have been getting free healthcare at any emergency room in the country for years.

Their employers have no benefits, so if they fall off a roof or out of a tree, your county hospital will get them well. If they are paralyzed, your tax dollars will fly them home in a medical plane.

I don't think anybody in Harris county knows how many anchor babies have been delivered here. Mom just shows up in labor and the taxpayers provide for her and the anchor baby. This has been happening in my long memory at least 70 years.

You mean that Democrats want to comply with the Constitution.

How so? In what way would knowing the demographic distribution of immigrants help with a path to citizenship? Please provide your sources supporting this assertion.

Not sure where this came from at all, and it isn't terribly coherent.

What we have here is the poster arguing against Constitutional compliance, asserting something that makes no sense, then assuming something that isn't in evidence.

Do you make all of your life decisions in this completely unfocused manner?

Note that the metric used to pay stimulus was filing of a tax return and an income threshold.

Illegal immigrants need to file tax returns just as anyone else does, and it's safe to say that most will fall under the income threshold needed to receive the stimulus money.

So yes, I'd have to say that most will be getting a check. At least the ones filing a return.

Sorry, you are completely incorrect.

Illegal immigrants are required to pay taxes, and those who do use an ITIN (Individual Taxpayer Identification Number) to do so. An ITIN is similar to a Social Security Number, but it does clearly identify the person as a non-legal worker.

For a stimulus payment, you need to have filed a tax return with a SSN. ITIN does not qualify.

For those of you who cannot be bothered to file links, I am providing documentation directly from the IRS.

So no, you are wrong and most will not be getting a check, including the ones filing a return. They are not eligible.

Illegal aliens aren't plain ole immigrants they are not here legally and their net cost after any taxes they pay is over $100 billion a year.

the cost is very hard to determine because its all shadowy stuff...i don't belittle any person for wanting to better themselves....if nobody would hire them they would not come so willingly quit blaming powerless people

The correct way that headline should have been written.......

42 socialist democrats vote in favor of taxpayers making payments through the incompetent government bureaucracy to illegal aliens.

It's in Biden's $1.9 trillion stimulus package. Last round, mixed families with questionable status did not get a check for the questionable one. This one includes them getting checks that's why the amendment says no "future stimulus will go to undocuments."

"The new payments would go to adult dependents that were left out of the earlier rounds, like some children over the age of 17. It would also include households with mixed immigration status, after the first round of $1,200 checks left out the spouses of undocumented immigrants who do not have Social Security Numbers. "
