I stopped reading there, because I do not think there is evidence to support that statement. There is evidence that the vaccines will block infection and transmission. None of the new variants completely escape any of the vaccines, and reducing the transmission of the viruses that we can vaccinate against is the best way to prevent new mutations from happening.
The other thing is that it is possible to modify mRNA vaccines quickly if it becomes necessary.
Also, from the bit you quoted it should be noted that antibodies do not bind to Covid-19. They bind to the virus: SARS-C0V-2. COVID-19 is the disease caused by the virus. It is rather strange that a virologist would make that error, and I wonder if the author totally skipped having anyone else read what he has written.
It will be interesting to see other experts weigh in on his opinion - and it is an opinion piece, not research.
B.S. So they remain carriers for life? Their body's immune system doesn't create the same type of immunity a vaccine does? Do you know what a vaccine typically consists of? Wow talk about clueless. Take a few Bio courses or read some books, talk to some Docs, etc.
Actually those that did get polio...no surely most did not...but those that DID get polio spent rest of their lives in iron lungs....all were kids..
We do NOT need a vaccine to reach Herd Immunity! Our immune systems will do that naturally. Wow, many have been seriously brainwashed by the Media (Democrat Marxists).
However, as long a any of us refuse to get vaccinated we will have to live with Covid for our entire lives. It will NOT go away on its own. If you (the collective you) don't care about a job, a home, a healthy economy and society where we can ALL enjoy life, then don't get vaccinated. The virus will come and go, peaks and valleys, death of the elderly and occasionally a child or two. Nothing to worry about. "They" will die, maybe even your children or parents, but YOU will fine. Right?

In my state, about 15% are vaccinated (and the pace is picking up.) If we get to 50% by May, and considering that a good percentage of people have the antibodies from previous infections (without even knowing it), we will be close to herd immunity. By the summer, this will all be a nightmarish memory.
