Eh. I mean, I do think the idea of “never letting a good crisis go to waste” is alive and well, but I’m not seeing it here. There are some stealing parallels to the 1918 flu pandemic, both in terms of public health measures, and the resistance to them. But we also go new habits such as not using common drinking cups in public places, hand washing, and a better awareness for the public with regards to germ theory.
It’s true that progressives were behind a lot of that, but given that masking and social distancing was a thing even then - as well as resistance to those measures - shows that there’s more of a human resistance to it than a political one. Trying to parse it in terms of political agendas is basically a non-starter, IMHO.
"We start with the revival of the baseless conspiracy theory, known as the 'Great Reset', which claims a group of world leaders orchestrated the pandemic to take control of the global economy.
The conspiracy theory has its origins in a genuine plan entitled 'The Great Reset', drawn up by the World Economic Forum (WEF), the organisers of an annual conference for high-profile figures from politics and business. The plan explores how countries might recover from the economic damage caused by the coronavirus pandemic.'

Just more of your typical MO:
Don't like the links that provided the truth.
"Must find an opinion that legitimizes my opinion."
"Oh, here's one from BBC."
Opinion piece?

Believe that there is some grand conspiracy to use the coronavirus to "reset" the globe if you wish.
I know the coronavirus is just a virus doing its thing, and the whining about "reset" is doing nothing to help the situation.
Sounds like you don't care about your fellow man. We wear masks to protect others from ourselves.
If you don't have covid, you are not protecting others from it. Only sick peoole should stay home/wear masks if they have to go out.
