"Will Smith and director Antoine Fuqua have pulled production of their runaway slave drama “Emancipation” from Georgia over the state’s recently enacted law restricting voting access.

The film is the largest and most high profile Hollywood production to depart the state since Georgia’s Republican-controlled state Legislature passed a law that introduced stiffer voter identification requirements for absentee balloting, limited drop boxes and gave the State Election Board new powers to intervene in county election offices and to remove and replace local election officials. Opponents have said the law is designed to reduce the impact of minority voters."

Another big financial hit for Georgia over a policy that most people haven't even read yet. The people being hurt the most by this move and the MLB All Star game are the minority communities. This is hurting them more than the voting regulations.
More Blacks' jobs lost. Can these people BE any more idiotic, not thinking through the obvious consequences?

That was rhetorical.

Exactly. If one were to sit Will Smith down and ask him specifically the issues about the GA law, he couldn’t tell you other than regurgitating the same bogus claims he heard through the media (social and news).

I’m sure Louisiana’s 40% tax credit (vs 30% in Georgia) isn’t a factor either...

And the fact that the story is set in Louisiana?

Georgia isn't taking the hit. They give the film industry tax breaks that they now won't have to. Who IS taking the hit? A disproportionately high percentage of Black-owned businesses and Black workers.

The USA Today article certainly repeats them.

When will the press realize there were zero drop boxes in 2016 and 2018, and that they were only in place in 2020 due to pandemic voting as an emergency measure? And now the law provides them permanently across the whole state?

That is just another example of how the Leftist mainstream media is biased. They’ll purposefully leave that fact out because it doesn’t fit their narrative.

That’s how you get half the country to consistently vote for a Democrat party that supports Marxism, illegals, globalism (aka selling out to China, Mexico, Europe, etc.), excessive regulation, big government, decriminalization, etc. and those voters still think they are doing the right thing. It’s call propaganda.

Have any of the, 'I hate Georgia', contingent ever read the legislation????

Can't blame their stupidity as the cause, so what is motivating the response to the left wing lies?

What is astounding is the fact that there is hard evidence in the form of published legislation that defies all the false claims of the socialists and yet they recoil in horror at what is not reality.

Did Jim Jones really die at Jonestown?
Are there vats of grape kool-aid left over and consumed by the left.

To see company heads who have something on the ball, deny reality is the stuff of insane nightmares. what path is this country taking????????????

Our enemies are licking their chops at the sheer insanity and division the corrupted election of Harris Biden has wrought upon us.

The take away is the socialists and the useful idiots have willingly and with ? full consciousness?, use black people as disposable pawns to further a political agenda that could never be approved by the voters in a secure voting process.

Is will smith full of redirected self hate?

black voters came out in historic numbers to vote and now they have even more opportunity.

Scary times when the elite p down out boot and tell us it is raining.

It is getting to the point that.

I hope the whole industry fails. Add in pro sports. Literally I want all of these woke SJW freaks unemployed from their dream jobs and forced to work normal jobs.

I know it wont happen and it makes me sad that I am now wishing bad upon others. I am not a Republican. It is clear those in Hollywood wish me and my family to live under something along the lines of what the Loudon County School board is doing.

Yes I know it wont happen. The NFL took a small hit... and is still doing great. Nike the same.
