OAN conveniently chooses to ignore death certificates include both cause and contributing factors.
Both need to be taken into consideration.
My brother in law died a few years ago. Cause of death was multiple organ failure. The contributing factor was Cancer.
Had he not had advanced Cancer that spread to all organs, his organ would not have failed.
Had a dear friend who dropped dead of a stroke on her Oncologists’ office. The stroke was the cause of death.
The contributing factor was breast Cancer than had spread to her brain.
If you could point me in the direction of the CDC press release for this... it would be swell.

Another instance of selective authority. NOW the CDC is trustworthy since this conspiracy theory video is attributing claims to them, but I bet I could find a few dozen things the CDC has actually said that would have you quickly back to casting doubt on anything they say.
If you're interested here is what CDC actually says, that anything above that orange line are excess deaths outside statistical norms, what a coincidence they happen during covid pandemic and follow pattern of covid infection spikes.
