Yesterday, the police responded to a 911 call about a mentally ill man threatening to kill people and himself. The man was paranoid, and the police summoned special mental health unit to try and calm him down and prevent him from harming anyone else, or killing himself. Of course the "we hate cops for no freaking reason" subhuman Portland trash showed up and escalated matters, screaming, shouting, to the point where the man was suicidal. Even the man's mother pleading with the crowd to please calm down and let the mental health experts do their job and save her son, fell on the deaf ears of the cop-hating lunatics.
These aren't peaceful protesters, because they are not even protesters at all. They are just useless oxygen thieves, who are perpetually hostile to the police for no reason at all.
PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) - Groups of protesters surrounded officers who were responding to a man with a knife in a mental health crisis in downtown Portland, according to the Portland Police Bureau.
Officers were called out to the 300 block of Southwest 4th Avenue at 1 p.m. Friday.
Witnesses said a man jumped out of a building’s second story window, pulled out a knife and began waving it around at people and passing cars.
The 30-year-old man displayed the knife to officers who arrived at the scene.
Police said they learned the man is schizophrenic and extremely paranoid, and could be a threat to himself or others.
Officers said they did not rush in, but slowed down, kept their distance and “exercised patience and de-escalation.”
Negotiations lasted for 90 minutes, before two separate crowds of protesters began showing up to the north and the south of the scene, according to police.
These protesters are "helping".... To destroy civilization as we know it in the USA.
These people are nothing but hate merchants, and sadly they think they are just, honest, good, and warriors for justice, when all they are, are anarchist trouble makers who end up precipitating riots, leading to looting, arson , assault, and causing billions of dollars in property damage.
The maddening thing is, the news media and dimwitted politicians promote and encourage this destruction and madness; politicians like Kamal Harris, and various Democrat mayors.
