Police should not be involved in politics while in uniform. Also, voting is a personal right. That would include voting the way one wants. BTW, red states have the highest crime rates. https://worldpopulationreview.com/st...-rate-by-state

Florida is not the Disney world he portrays with his photos.

Florida's violent crime rate of 384.9 incidents per 100,000 is almost exactly in line with the corresponding national rate. While the state as a whole is not especially dangerous, parts of it are. In Florida City, for example, the violent crime rate is a staggering 3,052.8 incidents per 100,000 people, eight times the national violent crime rate. Other cities in Florida, like Opa Locka and Lake City, also rank among the most dangerous in the country, with violent crime rates of 2,346.5 and 1,214.9 per 100,000, respectively.

False and delusional, though I can see how you'd need a belief like that to provide a foundation for tolerating this crap from LE. The GOP seems to be turning fascistic at an alarming pace.

Again, you got to put yourself in the other guy's shoes if you care at all about democracy.

How would you feel if your sheriff was telling you how important it is as a citizen to vote for the OPPOSITE party from which you typically vote?

Florida the home of:

-Parkland school shooting while resource officer cowered outside

-jury finding a mother, whose toddler was not reported missing and whose bones were found, not-guilty.

-state ranking third highest in nation for most serial killers.

You can have my spot. I wouldn’t move there on a bet. Sheriff is an elected position, it does not indicate any law enforcement skill or training.

I am a fan of Sheriff Grady and I strongly support DeSantis's recent order banning violent protests.

He should have included some of Florida's wildlife in his photos - FL is a mecca for nature lovers.

Still don't want the lead lawman in any jurisdiction telling people how to vote. This is regardless of party. The only exception of course is "Vote for me"

Funny irony: I used to live in Lakeland, Polk Co FL. Interesting place. I remember being able to hear the goings on at Bubba's Mud Ranch every ?Friday?/?Saturday? night from several miles away.

That is correct in that Florida is not a crime free state. Everyone including criminals likes to live here for the weather. That is exactly the reason why it is more important here than ever not to elect progressives who fight against and weaken law enforcement.

Why shouldn't a cop be able to say who he/she supports? Every other government official does.

There was no weaker law enforcement than the resource officer who hid outside while the kids in school were being shot to death!

Big talkers those sheriffs in Florida but no substance or courage behind their rhetoric. To blame "blue states" (which all have lower crime rates than Florida) for their incompetence is just another act of cowardice.

And the man-child governor is standing beside him smiling as they deliver their "middle-school" mentality message.

It is not good for him to say that people votes are stupid. Yes he used the word stupid. It is not appropriate and offensive. What if I were to yell from the crowd that he is stupid, that his deputies are stupid, that anyone who graduates from Florida public schools are most likely stupid. It just is not the right way to address the public.
