umm, those things are all part of the cost of living, how much you get paid, how much does it cost to live there, how much of what you make you get to keep. What do you think COL encompasses?
Right. The economic and social policies of Florida make it an appealing place to live. Sheriff Judd, and many other Floridians enjoy Florida for what it is and we discourage blue voters from moving to Florida if they are bringing their failed blue state social and economic policies with them.
This covers some of the new tactics that are being used by rioters such as bullying people at restaurants and the restaurant owners. You are right that there are already laws against most things that take place in a riot, but this sets the precedence and send a "warning shot" to would-be rioters. If you plan to do that in Florida, you will be dealt with swiftly.
I don't like these people bullying diners either but I don't see police responding to restaurants because someone is bothering them. They have better things to do. You don't stop riots because of an anti-riot law.
Granting drivers civil immunity if they run over protestors, what could go wrong with that one.
Charlottesville comes to mind.
Because many are weak and entitled and expect everyone to think like they do, however, if they get so triggered over something like this it’s less likely they’ll inhabit Florida.
They are not escaping the politics, they are escaping the cold and higher cost of living. That’s why he is stupid- he doesn’t even know why people move to Florida. He should maybe look at any poll. https://www.google.com/amp/s/blog.ps...to-florida/amp
Your pre-pandemic blog post is nearly 2 years old, thus, nearly irrelevant.

You do when there’s severe penalties for being a rioter. The lack of severe penalties is why criminals riot, loot, cause violence etc... They get defended for turning cities into cesspools rather than being punished to the full extent for their criminal ways.
So you pay $4,500 for real estate taxes in Florida instead of $10,000 in NJ and you also save $15,000 in income tax in Florida.
So it costs $20,500 LESS in Florida than NJ.
Do you even understand math?
Even using whatever podunk state you live in, if you pay $3,000 more in real estate tax in Florida, you save much more by having no income tax at all.
Bingo...and while it’s obvious they don’t understand math, you’re assuming they pay taxes and no income tax would affect them. Lots of folks collecting free stuff.
Florida is an interesting and diverse state. You've got high numbers of Latinos in South Florida, you've got a robust Jewish population, a lot of retirees from northern states; everything from astronauts to beach bums to business executives. There are also still a lot of "Old Florida" southern red-necks like Sherriff Judd. His type are dying out. The future of Florida is blue, just as in Georgia.
What a misinformed post. The Latin population in Florida is conservative and growing. Cubans, Venezuelans and Nicaraguans are overwhelmingly conservative, which is why two urban Miami House seats flipped from blue to red. It’s also why Trump increased his victory margin substantially in 2020.
Old white people run the Democrat Party and it will be a happy day when they are no longer around.
