95% improvement in not catching the disease, and close to 100% of not getting serious disease or dying.
The vaccine are the medical miracles that will lead us and the world out of the Pandemic.

Most people are at no risk from the virus, especially now.

Stop being a drama queen.

If you're over 75 then get the vaccine. Otherwise, use your immune system.

Your TV has really terrified you.

So far the variants are mostly covered. What we worry about is the large active viral pool in the US and the world. And the larger and longer that pool is active, the more chance of a more virulent variant, or one that bypasses the vaccines appears. That is why we should want everyone possible vaccinated.

Uh huh. Sure.

This isn't really helpful information, it's just more fodder for elevating the egos of elitists who already feel superior to the mere common plebeians.

Interesting, considering “anti-vaxxers” pre-covid tend to be highly educated.

Yup. Even the VP said she wouldn't get it! There was some HEAVY skepticism of the vax back then!

How soon we forget.

Very interesting observations.

From what I read and hear, this makes perfect sense to me

Any person with any semblance of education would understand the ramifications of COVID and the necessity of mitigating the disease by all means possible, including vaccination!

I am not an elitist. I fully comprehend that lack of education does not equate to stupidity. But comments that hear just kinda make me shake my head!
hahahaha!!!!

btw, college degree and fully-vaccinated here.

Never had Covid. Understand there's still a statistical possibility I can test positive for Covid, and an infinitesimally smaller possibility I need hospitalization or die.

Makes perfect sense.
well, 76% of "smart people" using this definition.
and 53% of "dumb people", using your definition.

Smart people know that 53% is still a majority, and so a sweeping statement like yours is, well, dumb. Congrats.

Maybe if you said "Most smart people want the vaccine" and "Nearly half of dumb people don't" then you'd be at least a little more accurate. If we only define "smart" and "dumb" as level of education.
