New findings from the Understanding Coronavirus in America survey reveal that when it comes to attitudes and beliefs about the COVID-19 vaccine — from willingness to get the vaccine to knowing someone who has been vaccinated to the perceived risks of side effects — there is a substantial gap between more- and less-educated U.S. residents.
Researchers with the Center for Economic and Social Research (CESR) at the USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences found that more than 3 out of 4 (76%) U.S. adults with at least a bachelor’s degree have already been vaccinated or plan to be, compared to just over half (53%) of those without a college degree. That’s a change from earlier in the pandemic, when level of education played less of a role in people’s willingness to get a COVID-19 vaccine.
Very interesting observations.
From what I read and hear, this makes perfect sense to me
Any person with any semblance of education would understand the ramifications of COVID and the necessity of mitigating the disease by all means possible, including vaccination!
I am not an elitist. I fully comprehend that lack of education does not equate to stupidity. But comments that hear just kinda make me shake my head!
This is why I'm on board for free community college (although not a four yr., still helpful). Even if an individual paid for one year and gov't paid for the other year, I think would be a good idea. I think it helps the person, plus the community as a whole.
We have a home business which sees many customers in the medical field. I listened to them and have since had both vaccines. One, whom I paid particular attention to, is a doctor specializing in infectious diseases. A radiologist told me in in mid-March 2020 that this COVID was going to be a very bad one. I listen to the experts, not the politicians or friends on Social Media. Every medical professional I spoke with got their vaccines.

And who influences what is taught in medical schools...?? Big Pharma. You've been played.

You did absolutely the right thing! Others here should listen to the science
If you don't have the knowledge to make the lifesaving choice, rely on those who do. Even if you are educated, you are smart enough to listen to, and pay attention to, those with more understanding of the ramifications of COVID
So many uneducated people rely on the internet and quack podcasts and that's why there is a higher % of people with college degrees are vaccinated than the Dr Google crowd!
Smart people want the vaccine.
Dumb people don't want the vaccine.
Makes perfect sense.
This...my brother and I finally got our second Moderna shots today (America is lucky to have such easy access to covid vaccines)...feel fine other than sore shoulders...looking forward to getting back to normal and freedom from fear!

I don't think that's the case. I think dumb people preach and tell others not to get vaccinated
It's not a case of smart vs dumb. I know al lot of non college educated people that are smart as hell. And, a lot of college educated people that are dumb as a bag of rocks
And who influences what is taught in medical schools...?? Big Pharma. You've been played.
