They're proud and happy that now they hopefully won't have to be hospitalized or die from Covid. Why do you care?
And they feel relieved too. Now they don't have to worry so much about catching COVID and they can let down their guard and gather in groups, not be so nervous about going into the stores, can visit their elderly relatives--quite a great feeling of relief for a lot of people. Personally, I've known quite a few people who've had COVID and to have to suffer like they did--no thanks!
Where I live, people use that post as "green light" to get together indoors again. The minute someone changes their profile to include the "I'm vaccinated" border, they get lots of messages underneath asking about getting together for dinner, drinks, etc.
