biden will just use this as a reason why we should get rid of the oil companies and go all renewable energy. Until the hackers cripple our electrical grid....

Like the Minneapolis City Council. Make terrible decisions for 40 years and then point fingers and join the protesters.

There is no shortage. There was a small problem, then people started hoarding gas. Everyone who went to the pump and filled up multiple containers with gas "just in case" are at fault.

The utilities I’ve worked with had dedicated networks not connected to the internet in any way.

"Russian hackers attack pipelines and Trumpers blame Democrats."

Do we have to list ALL the things Trump and repubs were blamed for?

The Chinese release a deadly virus that spreads around the globe, and it's Trump's fault.

Trump has a normal conversion with another world leader who does NOT agree what the dems said about the conversation and Trump is impeached for it.

Let's see the White House, the Senate and the House are ALL controlled by dems.

ALL agencies involved are headed by DEM appointees. But, it is NOT the dems in control fault

You can't make this stuff up!

The dems NEVER take responsibility for their OWN actions and NON-actions!

"The Biden administration is struggling to find an effective, robust counter to the cyberattackers who have repeatedly caught the U.S. flat-footed and disrupted Americans’ lives from the gas pump to the police station. Cybersecurity leadership selected by President Biden last month remains uninstalled, and a federal cyber agency said Tuesday that it does not yet have the information it needs to prevent further attacks such as the one that hit a major fuel pipeline last week."

"Alongside issues with information flow, the Biden administration is beleaguered with personnel problems. Top cybersecurity posts have stalled in the Senate confirmation process. Mr. Portman said senators are waiting for paperwork to be finalized for Mr. Biden’s nominee for the nation’s first national cyber director, John C. Inglis, who previously served as deputy director of the National Security Agency.
The nomination of Jen Easterly, another former NSA official, to run CISA also is pending."

"Senate Democrats are mum about the holdup."

As the administration works to overhaul cybersecurity policy, victims of cyberattacks are stacking up across sectors that affect Americans’ day-to-day lives. In March, Buffalo Public Schools canceled classes for a day because of a “cybersecurity outage” reported to be a ransomware attack."

"The full list of cyberintrusions in recent months is long and not limited to ransomware. Last month, CISA warned that hackers had breached Pulse Connect Secure products in government agencies, the private sector and critical infrastructure starting at least as far back as June.
Early indications suggest that five federal agencies were compromised in that hack,"

All under biden's watch!

The pipeline is a private company; the government only has limited resources to require security methods. If it did, it would be accused of interfering with free enterprise. Perhaps we should nationalize the private companies and pay off the stockholders, but that would be socialistic wouldn't it?

We can do what we did with the Lighthouse Act of 1789. In that act all lighthouses and buoys held by the states and individuals were nationalized. Owners of buoys were paid a flat rate no matter where the buoy was or its condition.

The truck driving shortage is real and is like the plumber or electrician shortage. These are hard jobs, not glamorous. Truck driving is especially hard, the margins are tight for owner/operators, the overhead is high, the hours long, the amount of time away from home can be days and the health risks are great from sitting all day. Few people want that anymore.

Maybe Greg Abbott told them to turn off the spigot, to show the north east who is in control.

Georgia is waiving gas taxes - exactly the opposite of what needs to be done. Gas prices should be allowed to rise, soar, to mute demand in response to supply contraints. Let the markets work.

Solarwinds anyone? The total economic impact of that was exponentially worse.
