This country has accepted more immigrants than any other. The American people are probably the most generous in the world. We have been taken advantage of, and most Americans are sick and tired of it at this point. Taxpayers are paying for these illegal immigrants.
This country cannot absorb every person in the world who wants to come here "for a better life." We no longer have the resources.

You think it's appropriate that children are being dumped, alone, across the border into this country and then the President is directing those children to then be farmed out and dumped into random states for supposedly the schools and the local government social services to take care of?

Spot on, and yes, unfortunately there's a lotta evidence these days in neurobiology that some folks are actually 'hard-wired' to respond more to images and 'news' that stimulates Fear, Outrage, and Disgust. Which is really just another way of saying that a lotta folks have now acquired an 'addiction' to this sorta 'content', and that FOX News has simply become their street corner 'Pusher'.

3. The MPP was very effective at reducing illegal border crossings (and seeking asylum, you're still crossing the border illegally) across the board.
If the valid asylum claim - political/criminal conditions at home - was real, then the same # would come to the border, even to stay in Mexico. Because they are far away from the problem in their home country, and thus safe. And if all these claims were valid, then they would STILL have been leaving the home country to escape that strife.
4. No, conservatives don't support illegal labor, just to save some $$.
No, they are absolutely NOT safe in those border camps that they were living in while waiting for asylum. They were/are actually being targeted by the local gangs in mexico. The women were being sexually assaulted. EVERYONE was in danger of being kidnapped and held for ransom (and many, many WERE kidnapped). And, of course, the US would allow them to come to the border for asylum, process them, and then send them back to Mexico on foot with all their belongings in a giant clear bag, which just made them targets for the mexican gangs. They are/were FAR from safe.
I don’t care. I support their asylum claims and desire to immigrate being handled according to the law regardless of where in the US they are temporarily residing.
What are they seeking asylum from and why can't Mexico provide this asylum?
