When German Immigrants Were America’s Undesirables
In an interview, (former) White House chief of staff John Kelly told NPR that undocumented immigrants are “not people that would easily assimilate into the United States, into our modern society.” And he listed a few reasons why:
“They’re overwhelmingly rural people,” he said. “In the countries they come from, fourth-, fifth-, sixth-grade educations are kind of the norm. They don’t speak English … They don’t integrate well; they don’t have skills.”
Kelly was talking specifically about immigrants from Latin American countries. But a century before, this line of thinking was used against another group that didn’t seem to be able to “assimilate”... German Americans.
We’re not talking about immigrants. We are talking about illegal immigrants, unable to support themselves. You’re actually comparing them to lawful and productive Jewish citizens of Germany?

Oh yeah. Russians, Germans, Irish, Italians..... they were all essentially told the same thing. Go home, we don't want you.
The American Indians were saying to the English, French and Spanish.

It’s ridiculous how the leftists are ALWAYS defending the wrong things.
That's because they are paid to post that nonsense. Think about it. The same people coming on posting ridiculous stuff. They work in shifts. You will see the same ones for a few weeks and then a different crop pops up. Their arguments are nonsensical. It's the only thing that makes any sense, that they are paid to post.
Conservatives: "I'm not against immigration, just illegal immigration!"
Also conservatives: (immigrant legally apply for asylum) "No, their asylum claims are bogus (even though they have not read any of the claims)!! They should stay in Mexico!!!! (even though the immigrants are not from Mexico)."
Also conservatives: "We have a labor shortage!!!! No one wants to work for peanuts!!!"
Leftists: We will pay you NOT to work. Then when you complain about a labor shortage, we will claim no American wants to do those jobs then we import millions from Central America who work under the table and don't pay taxes.

The pro-illegals always blur the lines between legal and illegal by lumping them all under plain ole "immigrants" it's blatantly dishonest and they know it! The adjective of legal or illegal should always be used to decipher between those two very different groups.
Um, no it's not pro America to expect existing Americans who pay taxes to support criminals coming in to the county to keep Democrats in office.
Right, and no one has a right to a better life by breaking our immigration laws and taking from our own citizens what doesn't belong to them. They also commit felony ID theft and/or tax evasion which are felonies!

If ICE took them to TN they are legally present in the US and have been given work authorization pending their hearing. You can bet that puts a smile on the face of employers.
I bet these children have the same grasp on the English language as many of the posters in this forum do.
It has no bearing on anything, anyway.
The most vocally opposed are usually the ones who are also religious and listen to their priests, ministers, and rabbis talk about charity and helping others. Such a huge disconnect. That's game-playing right there.
Oh just stop with this! You know better than that. Most of them don't know a lick of English and you know it so why lie about it?
We have no problem helping our own poor and needy through no fault of their own but I'll be damned if I want my taxes to go feeding and caring for bogus asylum seekers and illegal aliens and their kids! That's the sentiment of many Americans who aren't religious either. The game playing is on your side!
