Of course it speaks to her selfishness. She’s earning nearly $200k a year and is complaining that other people’s money isn’t fixing Nana’s leaky roof. It’s been four years, and she still won’t part with any of her own money to help her abuella out.
BTW, that’s typical of the liberal mindset. Generous with other people’s money but stingy with their own.
I call selfish when I see it. She should help out her grandma and not stand on ceremony that govt should. That’s actually a key difference between Dems and Repubs - Repubs are willing to help out with their own money, and Dems think someone else should cover it.
And I KNEW a liberal would say $170k isn’t a lot of money for a single person in DC. What a bunch of elitists! Entire families are getting by on $60,000 and less here.
And some congressmen live in their offices. Shower and dress in the gym. And some live in church housing.

Should FEMA relief be based on income or the income of relatives? If people in Texas or Florida have a relative that makes $174K a year, should they themselves not receive FEMA money?
I'm fine with that, just want to see if there is agreement. Because taxpayers could save a lot of FEMA money.
"...Texas has received the most money from FEMA, totaling more than $7.6 billion in federal aid and spending more than $6.2 billion."
FEMA could do a quick search for each person, look up all relative's income and anyone making 20% above the standard for their location results in a FEMA denial for the person applying for relief.

You’re missing the point as usual to chase a politically biased argument that’s not even remotely relevant.
And again; as a result of natural disaster it’s government aid that’s supposed to fix things up, not your grandkids.
It's one helluva lot better than having water pour in, isn't it? a real fix would still be less than what AOC probably pays bfor clothes every month.
why are you so terrified of answering the question i posed? It's extremely telling..

would you or would you not leave your granny in such dire straits, and why is that such a difficult question for you?
Once again, lying and expecting people to feel sorry for her. First off, Trump provided them billions in relief money. Secondly, if AOC is making $174K a year, can afford a Tesla that she can illegally park at Whole Foods, then she can afford to help fix her grandma's house. If I had her income and my grandma or dad needed help, I'd be there in a heartbeat. If it truly upsets her that much, she would've done something that would've actually helped her grandma's current situation. Her crying on social media does nothing. The fact that she's blaming Trump just shows how much of a liar she is, as well as how lousy of a granddaughter she is as well.

Try an actual argument regarding the failures of gov when it comes to natural disasters instead of focusing on politically bias attempts to circumvent the actual issue.
It is difficult to support AOC’s complaint for more disaster relief funds for Puerto Rico when previous disaster relief funds from 2017-2020 were mishandled, either by local corruption or mismanagement.
That’s our hard-earned tax dollars not being used as promised nor intended. So the answer is just to give more? Where’s the accountability and assurance there will not be a repeat of waste and corruption?
