You have good precedent before you in thinking that.
"Am I my brother's keeper?" said Cain to God.
This is a perfect example of the mind of the modern socialist. Forever in history it was considered the family's job to take care of its own. "Charity begins at home."
The extended family lived on one farm and everybody on the farm took care of everybody else on the farm. As grandpa slowed down, he did the little he could while being housed and fed by his son and grandsons. When sons came of age and married, they were given a plot of their own to work on the family farm, to raise their own children and support their family.
Only a modern socialist would kick grandpa off the farm and drop him off at the feet of government to be provided for.
It has always throughout history been the JOB of family to help each other. Always. Until FDR came along and changed it all. Before WWII it was ALWAYS the job of the familly, and every family member knew they had a moral duty to take care of family, except for the few bad sheep that were impossible to keep out of trouble.
Witness the mind of the modern socialist who thinks it is government's job to care for members of your family and you have no moral responsbility to do so.
I feel that this is the issue in the USA. A family is now a group of strangers and not a close knit family unit. A close knit family is dangerous to a government. Imagine generational wealth, businesses, properties, etc.

that's why BurnLootMurder seeks its destruction..
although they deleted it out of embarrassment.
AOC fails to mention that Puerto Ricos government officials are some of the most corrupt people on planet earth. Any aid sent there, is mainly lining their pockets.
I know this from first hand experience. I was involved with a company that helped with relief after the hurricane. Heavy machinery worth millions of dollars was sent to help clean up specific areas,. . . when the work was done, that machinery just disappeared and was never returned. The company had to eat the entire loss.
You act like your poor old grandmother is a complete stranger. But that's typical of leftist trash. We saw how 0bama allowed his own brother to live in a shack, while Barack was cashing millions of dollars in royalties from his self aggrandizing book. At least corruptocrat Biden spreads the ill-gotten wealth around to his family, not so with the likes of AOC.
There's a difference. A grandma is usually a known. Obama's father deserted Obama and his mom when Obama was a toddler.. IIRC he already had a wife. Then he had another one. Should Obama support people he does not know because they have the same father?
AOC could have rented granny another place to live while they waited for funding for repairs. Did she?
People in Houston are still waiting for federal money for Harvey repairs.
If you are going to use the classical definition of socialist, then neither is Sanders. In fact, there is literally no socialist in politics today.
That's why we label AOC and Sander Democratic Socialists. They are not real socialist. Their policy is more aligned with Norway than with Venezuela.
.
you're full of excrement. Horse tooth and the commie are both venezuala style politicians. Loaded themselves but give nothing to the actual needy folks. Why does horse tooth not fix abuelas house? Why does the commie not pay for healthcare and college instead of buying more homes?
Good for her. She has a good taste in cars. The Model 3 might be the best car on the planet (IMO).
