So how much vacation days do you folks get? How many paid holidays? How many sick days?
I'm curious as to how this compares to market standards.
I'm not talking small business owners or sole proprietors...I'm talking the norm in the market.
I get 2 weeks. As for sick time, I can take whatever I need. When I got Covid last November I was out for 2 weeks. In hunting season I frequently do 6 hour days and scoot out early. But I make up the time and my work gets done.

Outside banking, which follows federal holidays, preciously few private sector companies give employees 44 PTO days off a year.
I get about 20 days PTO, which is considered above average. New hires start at 13-15ish? People who have been around for a long time can have as many as 25 days. Consulting firm.

Don't let facts get in the way of some cathartic outrage.
Seems to be another of those "I am being treated horribly, and everyone else should, too!" threads that always pop up when somebody else's lot improves. Crab pot.
It's not that other people get too many days off. It's that you don't get enough. Do something for yourself rather than trying to tear down other people.
