This very well could be the case, they are obviously aware of Biden’s commission and could be looking to diffuse any perception that the court is about to take a hard partisan turn, to blunt any momentum the commission might have for any of its recommendations.
At the end of the day, it's all part of the stupid circus of politics. Why not just sit back and look at the whole picture?
There's all of the them in the political world, and then there's all of us. Two completely different worlds that continue to drift farther apart every day. That's what we ought to be looking at. The one party vs the other game is just a distraction away from this, what really matters.

Roberts must be compromised, he’s basically transitioned to a Democrat.
Most people don’t really mention it, but if he voted the other way in the Pennsylvania voting case, it’s very possible Trump is the President right now.
Yes, Roberts is compromised. Bush, the Globalist Progressive appointed him for just that reason. He's just a pawn of the Left now. He's another one that needs to be tarred and feathered. Horrendous.
