We should care. The last time the Taliban controlled Afghanistan, they became a haven for Al-Qaida to train and plot attacks globally. Its what will happen again, their salafi ideology will compel them.
You can’t stop the Taliban from doing what they want in their own country.
That really sucks but there’s nothing we can do.
That's weird, because before we left, that wasn't happening. You don't think our leaving had something to do with that? And if it did, how can you say that there's nothing we can do?
Please explain that comment. It appears completely illogical to me.

Two months ago, Biden announced that the U.S. was going to pull all of its troops out of Afghanistan. Many people immediately warned that the Taliban would be delighted to hear that, and would use the withdrawal to move back in and take over the country.

(CNN) Fifty of Afghanistan's 370 districts have fallen to Taliban militants since May, according to the UN's special envoy on Afghanistan Deborah Lyons, as the United States continues its military withdrawal from the country.
"The Taliban recent advances are even more significant and are as a result of an intensified military campaign; more than 50 of Afghanistan's 370 districts have fallen since the beginning of May," Lyons told the UN Security Council on Tuesday.
"Most districts have been that have been taken surround provincial capitals, suggesting that the Taliban are positioning themselves to try and take these capitals once foreign forces are fully withdrawn," Lyons continued.
Where in the Constitution does it say to protect other nations borders?
This means they take over the Opium trade, and use that cash to fund terrorism.
We shoud Agent Orange EVERY poppy field in the places they take over.
lol They eradicated the poppy fields when they were in control last time.
from wiki "The Taliban enforced a ban on poppy farming via threats, forced eradication, and public punishment of transgressors. The result was a 99% reduction in the area of opium poppy farming in Taliban-controlled areas, roughly three quarters of the world's supply of heroin at the time."
OK, what is the USA going to do..........go over there and re-babysit them???
Nothing the USA can or should do.
You can’t make some people understand this! I guess if we show the Taliban copies of our constitution, they’ll just stop whatever they’re doing and become Jeffersonian Democrats! Lol
This feels like a flash-back to the Obama years in Iraq.
{Spoiler}: Obama pulled the troops out of Iraq. A power vacuum was established. Islamic State effectively reconstituted Al Qaeda from the ashes, and then proceeded to nearly take over the entire country. Obama then sent the troops back in to try to salvage the disaster he had created.
This looks like it is shaping up along the same storyline.
