You can’t stop the Taliban from doing what they want in their own country.

That's weird, because before we left, that wasn't happening. You don't think our leaving had something to do with that? And if it did, how can you say that there's nothing we can do?

Please explain that comment. It appears completely illogical to me.

50 of Afghanistan's 370 districts have fallen to Taliban since May: UN envoy
By Nic Robertson, Mohammed Tawfeeq and Richard Roth, CNN

Updated 3:50 PM ET, Tue June 22, 2021

(CNN) Fifty of Afghanistan's 370 districts have fallen to Taliban militants since May, according to the UN's special envoy on Afghanistan Deborah Lyons, as the United States continues its military withdrawal from the country.

"The Taliban recent advances are even more significant and are as a result of an intensified military campaign; more than 50 of Afghanistan's 370 districts have fallen since the beginning of May," Lyons told the UN Security Council on Tuesday.

"Most districts have been that have been taken surround provincial capitals, suggesting that the Taliban are positioning themselves to try and take these capitals once foreign forces are fully withdrawn," Lyons continued.
Where in the Constitution does it say to protect other nations borders?

lol They eradicated the poppy fields when they were in control last time.

from wiki
"The Taliban enforced a ban on poppy farming via threats, forced eradication, and public punishment of transgressors. The result was a 99% reduction in the area of opium poppy farming in Taliban-controlled areas, roughly three quarters of the world's supply of heroin at the time."

Many of the people there that helped us will now be murdered by the Taliban unless they and their families can be brought to the United States.

You can’t make some people understand this! I guess if we show the Taliban copies of our constitution, they’ll just stop whatever they’re doing and become Jeffersonian Democrats! Lol

True.

Because when we try, they just trot on across the border to some other country, and wait for us to stop.

When we finally stop, and leave, they just come right back. As they are doing now.

One of the many problems with "nation-building" from an ocean away.

This feels like a flash-back to the Obama years in Iraq.

{Spoiler}: Obama pulled the troops out of Iraq. A power vacuum was established. Islamic State effectively reconstituted Al Qaeda from the ashes, and then proceeded to nearly take over the entire country. Obama then sent the troops back in to try to salvage the disaster he had created.

This looks like it is shaping up along the same storyline.
