Cool, so you admit there is a problem with free markets and the system is not flawless?
This has nothing to do with the peoples' will. CRT is in the absolute toilet in terms of approval rating.
This has to do with elite liberals in the boardroom and in DC nanny'ing everyone to feel virtuous and perpetuating racial divisions as a means to a political end.
This is the ANTITHESIS of the "free market." This is dictatorship.
You tell one group of people that they are oppressors and you tell another group of people that they are victims.
Does anyone with an ounce of brain matter think that this when extrapolated out, is going to be a net positive? It's why there is such a push back on this by both black and white people.
The left is trying to gaslight people on this subject and it's just not working, people are seeing it, more and more and they don't like it.
Trying utter BS moves by saying that it's just white people not wanting to teach about black history and oppression, blah blah blah, it has nothing to do with any of that.
This is the crux of it really. The Democratic Party has survived and thrived mostly off of being shameless race hustlers. They went from being the pro-slavery party, to the pro-segregation/Jim Crow party, to the give blacks free stuff and pander to them endlessly party. Now they're the party for teaching white people to hate themselves and telling everyone else that whitey owes them infinite quantities of $$$ and things. What do all these things have in common? Obsessing about race and building vast policies and programs on that basis.
The thing we actually need? The "stop giving a crap about your skin color, ethnicity, whatever else party."
If you want to play the card that says, "I'm a victim because my ancestors were mistreated!!" there is literally no human being who can't play too. It builds nothing useful. It just breeds hate, resentment and anger where there was none previous, for the most trivial of reasons. Same thing Marxist ideologies have always done. That's why they always end up killing millions of innocent people.

Color blindness and meritocracy are explicitly rejected by CRT thought. It is considered the ultimate sign of the oppressor to take this position.

Your analysis is bad.
You just described the free markets.
The free markets consolidate these companies in diverse/cosmopolitan cities. They hire people with the qualifications (that you despise) because the markets value service sector employment in the American labor pool.
Those employees incentivize the companies to adopt these policies.

If you hate CRT, blame the free markets.
Call it free markets. Call it a fad. Whatever you think sounds best. At one point, eugenics, Jim Crow, and blaming everything bad that happens on the Jews was very popular. Huge captains of industry put tremendous stock in these terrible ideas. CRT is just another terrible idea that became fashionable. Just because an idea is popular, doesn't mean it's good.
Now you can imagine that CRT, Critical Theory and all manner of other Far Left concepts are virtuous. You can pretend they're only goal is equality, kindness, sunshine, gumdrops and rainbows. But bear this in mind: Personally, I couldn't care less what color a person's skin is. I couldn't care less what gender they are. If they can get the job done, they get the job. If we get along and enjoy each other's company, they become my friend. Well, according to the Cult of Critical Race Theory, that makes me a racist and I'm a terrible person.
Right. I remember the annual "diversity training" we all had to suffer through and then sign off on.
We'd tease each other after snarky comments with ..."Sounds like you need some DIVERSITY training".
As long as it's just a bunch of words then no one will care. But if they start putting people in positions of authority that aren't qualified....THEN you may see some flight.
All depends on how far they go with this.
