In the old America (back on 1/19/21) defending yourself from an attack in your home by 'people' meaning you harm would absolutely hold up in court.

In the new Communist States of America (since 1/20/21) you are quite likely correct. However, I would still defend myself.

Before an actual "civil war" as noted there will successions. Probably alot of soveriegn state groups as well.

Cannot think like the last civil war in terms of n vs s, union v confederate, blue v grey. It will not be that clear cut. After mother Russia broke up with old school communism she spawned over a dozen nation states.

Will be like the Walking Dead ie a bunch of groups.

At what point is Civil War warranted?

Never.

I have noticed that every time 'civil war' is brought up on this forum, it is always by brought up by a Trump devotee or Q-publicans. This is no accident.

No one else ever suggests it ... not independents, not moderate traditional Republicans and not Democrats. Just this wacko fringe bunch and they come back to this theme repeatedly.

Or course, they flubbed the attack on the capitol building and right away tried to blame it on 'antifa' ... dressed as Trump supporters ... pretty cowardly for people advocating civil war.

Sorry, I don't want to go anywhere else. You can go by yourself.

To be fair I do think there is a fringe on the far left that would be fine with this country being toppled and replaced with whatever socialist communist form of government they want. And those are the ones the right always points to as a typical democrat. A lot of times they are younger people like the BLM rioters.

But if you are a well adjusted American on either side with a house, family, money in the bank why would want civil war? But if you had to move back into your parents basement at 35. No money, bad credit perhaps you have been locked up a time or two. And then you get radicalized by all this right win rhetoric. Essentially the makeup of the capital rioters. Well Civil War gives you hope for the future you otherwise do not have.

Yes. Reminds me of that song "Revolution" by The Beatles.

Reading the lyrics reminds me of what we are seeing in this post.

Especially the "Chairman Mao" part.

Then with the backbone of the USA gone, it will be a matter of a decade before it all falls when there are no more hard working people and small businesses to tax to death for the programs. Maybe the illegal drug trade will keep things going for a little while, but after a while that demand will literally die off and it's another industry down the tank.
Which country would you go to that embraces your ideals? America is already pretty far right compared to a lot of the world.

I’m not taking aim at you. I’m genuinely curious.

Same here.
