We're $23 TRILLION in debt. Nothing is ever "fully paid for". As they say...."it looks good on paper".

Nope, amnesty would not be allowed under reconciliation rules. Not strictly budget related.

Of course everyone knows the money is not appearing out of nowhere. No one is talking about magic. It's a figure of speech to say that some people think they can use this money without paying for it in some way. The point is that when you tax the wealthy, the poor also pay. When you borrow or print money, everyone still pay the consequences.

These days Congress seems to think money rains out of the sky, so my guess is it probably will.

In your opinion, will this pass? I worry about any immigration reform part of it and higher inflation. Evidently Manchin is all for the immigration reform. I have a feeling it will pass with all dems voting for it and immigration will be worse than ever if even possible.

When something needs to be "crammed" through often there is something wrong with it.

Obamacare case in point.

Nope, not like that at all. They didn't approve anybody before they had hearings did they ?
But they passed Obamacare so they could read what was in the bill.

Not quite the apples to apples comparison.

Meh. That's no different than Trump's lie that his deficit would magically be paid for by how fast he'd grow the economy. A politician opened their mouth and a lie came out. Happens all the time.
