But we still fall short. We are not perfect, we are human. He may have let his frustrations get the best of his better judgment, but This covid has put a lot of stress, fear and distrust on everyone. Should he had been honest, yes! But we all slip and make mistakes.

First of all I don’t think it’s anyone’s business and plus I don’t feel like wearing a dam mask(and plus they don’t work) while working. Personally i think this getting out of hand...were we wrong to lie?
I f you go to someone else's home or business and lie and they get sick, the attorneys will be after your life savings.
Of course if someone lied to you and gave you a disease you would be the first to cry.

Have you forgotten the vaccine is not 100% ? Some of us have medical conditions where even the mild case of COVID we might get could be detrimental to our long term health. But you knew this already, didn't you?

Which is why I said it was an interesting question and explained that I allowed a contractor in without asking. My point being that was my decision to take that approach. Had I asked him whether he was vaccinated my hope would have been that he was honest in his reponse. Our grandaughter is not old enough to get the vaccine. I might be asking on her account if I expected her in the next couple of days. We don't expect her in the next week or so or I might have. The contractor would have no way to know why I was asking, and as I noted in my earlier post, I think most people would agree that a fundamental principle in the US is that you can control those who enter your home.
Do your research on HIPAA before making yourself look stupid. HIPAA refers to DIVULGING health information without a person's permission, and that only by covered entities like health care providers, insurance companies or health insurance "clearing houses" like the ACA Marketplaces.
It does NOT prevent someone asking if a person is vaccinated. My job requires proof of vaccination status from employers who want to work maskless, and they also required proof of a negative COVID test front me last year when I failed a health screening due to allergy symptoms. And guess what - we ARE a covered entity as defined by HIPAA because we are a NYSOH (NY ACA Marketplace) call center.
I did not mention HIPAA.
