According to the first article on this I found, the pre-nuptil agreed stated that the wife did not waive spousal support. So that does not mean the agreement is not being honored. In fact, it explains why the discussion is focused on a monthly support payment rather than a lump sum division.
Marriage has traditionally, in human history, not favored women. Marriage has for centuries put women in bondage.
Really? How so? You think women are better off on their own? A woman’s standard of living almost always goes way up after marriage; once they get divorced, her standard of living goes down. I know a man who owned a house outright, later, he married a woman with kids from a previous marriage, and she was a disaster, her kids were savages, he couldn’t get rid of her, he had to let his house go. He should have been able to divorce her, and she would have to move out, but no, the court system indicates he’s bound to take care of her, and her kids. His fault for being so stupid I guess.
Once a man gets married, half of everything he works for, or has worked for in the past, belongs to her. If he has a masters degree, a JD, a PhD, an MD, half if it is hers.
Today, women have more than equality, they have affirmative action, they have a stacked court system that favors them. Even the military allows women to do everything a man does, yet men still have to register for the military draft by law.

Why get married when there is so much distrust and contempt of women and children? There must be something of value other than “free sex”? In a society where there all kinds of ways to have sex, why do men keep getting married? What is the pay off for putting up with all this?
Why do you think divorce laws came to be when women were not the majority among legislators? What was going wrong that such laws were made to prevent?

He should turn around and sue the courts for ignoring the prenup if he had one and his lawyer who seemed to miss any of the loop holes. These aren't some ambulance chasing type lawyers, but lawyers that are probably on retainer at all times and make millions per client.

You imply that male legislators favor men, but that has never been the case. Chivalry has always been strong, empathizing with women. Do you know in law school, students are taught that when men are charged with the same identical crimes as women, the punishment is consistently harsher against men, regardless of race?
Remember when feminist talk show hosts discussed issues regarding men who fail to commit? Something women coined “the Peter Pan Syndrome,” this was a label, contemptuously given to men reluctant to marry. Women still complain there are not enough “qualified” eligible men worthy of marriage, meaning, men who don’t earn enough money, or have a worthy career.
Why on earth would any rich man get married in the USA???
The smart ones marry richer women.
