I wouldn’t bother; it looks like they are getting ready to cave, just like I suspected: https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/pelo...ry?id=79617719

Truly disgusting. With inflation raging, the last thing we need is to spend $3.5T on absolute garbage.

Well, the "Mod" Squad" (Moderate Dems) caved and voted for the framework of the Welcome to Socialism Reconciliation bill.

The details still have to be written by Sept 15.

There is now only a slim chance that the *real* Infrastructure could be passed first and the *fake* Human Infrastructure bill fail.

So, add about 6Trillion of spending and debt to our broken system.

Say hello to Bernie's socialist nightmare.

It appears that the moderates may have gotten what they wanted here. The House passed a resolution that adopted a hard commitment for the infrastructure bill to be taken up and debated on September 27, if not before. To revoke this would presumably require the House to vote again to change that, but you know these moderates will not vote for that. In all probability, they will debate it by then.

Again, I hope it all fails. But it appears that unless the radical leftists somehow force Pelosi to find a way to squirm out of this, it will be debated and will likely pass if it is debated, as there are a number of Republicans who apparently support the Senate infrastructure bill.

Evil Nancy is using the Afghanistan situation as a distraction.

Well played, Evil Nancy, well played.

Sad. I hope it was worth their careers.

The Dem to me have gone bat crap crazy the last few years. I really hope the more moderate sensible ones start to try and take the party back a bit more center. The woke progressive push just doesn't really resonate with the average person on the street. Not sure how this stuff is getting so much traction. There is a top down push and that's not the way it's supposed to work.
Hope that none of these fall for the stunt Pelosi pulled before when she thinks she has enough votes and lets some of them vote against it so they can keep their seats.

This should be very interesting to watch going forward. The nine Democrats got what they wanted, which Is a guarantee to vote on the infrastructure bill on September 27, if not before.

Nancy Pelosi achieved her short term goal of approving the first part of the budget process leading to reconciliation. However, they still need to pass a specific bill. That did not happen here. Since the nine Democrats already got what they wanted, the leverage to push them to support the $3.5 Trillion porkulus bill is significantly reduced. At the same time, both Manchin and Sinema in the Senate have indicated they do not support that bill.

The only thing that clearly looks likely to pass at this point, despite all of Pelosi's manueverings, is the infrastructure bill.

Fixed it for you.

Cuz those that have been following this know that the 3.5 Trillion (more accurate estimates put it at 5 Trillion) bill has nothing to do with infrastructure even though the woke dems are perverting the use of the word to dupe people into thinking it is as "Human Infrastructure" (which is really a bunch of free stuff, entitlements, climate justice, taxes, illegal alien amnesty, the list of pork/crap/waste is too long to list)
