This bears repeating here - it is *important* to know what bills are under consideration
===
There is confusion here on what "Infrastructure" bill is being talked about.
There are *2* such bills
1. 1.5 Trillion Bi-partisan bill that has actual/real *infrastructure* provisions for bridges, roads, etc (but has provisions for such ill-defined things such as "environmental justice" provisions - wtf is that?)
2. 3.5 Trillion (but most expert economists say it's really more like 5 Trillion) "Human Infrastructure" which is really the Welcome to Socialism package with endless free stuff and entitlements, tax hikes, illegal alien amnesty, federal control of elections, and more.
Pelosi is holding the *real* infrastructure bill hostage for vote by saying congress must pass the Welcome to Socialism bill first (by simple majority under Reconciliation rules).
Trump did want a *real* infrastructure bill, but minus the woke-foolery. He did NOT want the totally destructive 3.5 Trillion Welcome to Socialism bill.
The word "Infrastructure" has been perverted by the woke left.

The 3.5(5) Trillion bill is the fake infrastructure bill and the one the Moderate Democrats were at first concernced about and not willing to vote for - but ultimately caved to Pelosi's Dark Side Jedi Mind Tricks.
Good post. That is right on.
However, now that this House resolution has been passed, scheduling the real infrastructure bill for debate and a vote on September 27, 2021, if not before, the leverage on the people supporting the real infrastructure bill has been significantly reduced. This will likely make the passing of the fake infrastructure bill more difficult.
Of course Pelosi could somehow try to undermine this House resolution, but I think she supports it and is willing to vote for it. If they go back on that at this point, there is going to be chaos in the House Democrat caucus for the rest of this term, and they are unlikely to get anything else meaningful done. Surely Pelosi will not allow that to happen, even if it means that the squad and the Democrat radicals are a bit miffed for a while.

I fervently hope that the fake infrastructure deal collapses and dies
When the details of this foolish bill are actually committed to paper for analysis, common sense will prevail and we get to see the shocked looks from everyone after they see the black and white lunacy contained in this reckless spending spree.
