I'm not a liberal. What would be different about the freedom of the speech in the 2 incidents?
In a rational world there would be no difference, but the American educational system is anything but rational these days. LOTS of people have been expelled from American universities for speech that the school didn't like, despite it being protected by the First Amendment.

Skim the rest of the article. Apparently people have had issues with her. Also, it was a (white) student who started the petition for her termination
*shrug* I'm not surprised by any of that. The most annoyingly woke types are often white.
Generally speaking, if there was a decent case for removal one would not have to try to invent seriously racial allegations out of someone falling asleep at a meeting.
She would not have the freedoms here, if she went to Europe.
