Capitalism is based on voluntary exchange and mutual consent.

Capitalists feel entitled to labor at a price they want to pay. They scream when nobody takes them up on their offer of crumbs. They dont want to negotiate. They dont believe in REAL capitalism. They want economic serfs like they had in dark ages. All the labor they want, none of the expense.

Face it capitalists of the world, nobody wants to assemble your McBurgers for the pure joy of it. Find a new business model.

This is about as close to rational as anyone I've heard trying to justify socialized medicine get.

Only thing is.....

It will never happen.

The powers that be will never allow the removal of profit from the system.

No way, no how.

A company that pays an employee more than what the employee can produce will eventually go out of business.

What does it mean when I hear people say certain groups are denied healthcare? No one is ever denied. Is “denied†another way of say I can’t pay for it and you won’t pay for it for me so I’m denied healthcare? If that’s the case then I’m denied a beach home and a Lamborghini. Stop denying me.

31% PAY the other 69% and it’s unsustainable . Add to that, no matter what they get as “FREE†…

It’s never enough. They want, even demand more, more, more.

So much Anger - that's really sad. I answered a statement that indicated hungry people and sick people had no resources and that is JUST NOT TRUE.

Nowhere did I indicate that the available resources should not be there - I pay for them and not just in money, but in Time and Volunteer work.

They want, even demand more, more, more. refers to Politicians and their attitude that everything should be "FREE".

To answer your question about "what would your solution be?"
My solution is what MY City does - we are on the Top 50 Largest Cities in the USA - a little over 400,000 people. In 2020 we have 201 Homeless people as of the Count Day in January 2020 - On the Count Day in 2021, that number had dropped to 142. Not too shabby for a Pandemic year. Of that number not a single one was unsheltered for the enight before the Count Day.

We have Multiple Organizations that provide Shelter, we have Free Dental and Medical Clinics open 7 days a week and a few nights a week. We have a City Food Bank and does more than hand out food - the families get a Councilor to access needs and provide a weeks worth of food suitable to their living conditions, also job training, clothing for Jobs, household goods, day care for kids and transportation to job interviews. I don't work directly with this organization (which is actively supporter by every single Church in the City) - I do donate cases of needed provisions and money year around.

I do the same with our County Food Bank - local grocery stores always have bags put together for a $10 purchase of needed items. I support and work for Meals on Wheels (I forgot to put that on my list) weekly. I help gather donations for all of these. We work County wide with Co-Ordinated programs and it's worked well for us. These things actually work better at a Local Level as opposed to throwing money at problems with no accountability.

Now the above is all LOCAL and we do a lot - so that is "what I do". Our goal is to attempt to eradicate as much Homeless population in our 99 square mile Top 50 City as possible, and to get people out of poverty while giving them the Leg UP. We do that by getting to know them.

I would prefer that doctors volunteer their services a few weeks out of the year and receive a tax credit for their effort.

With or without.

It didn't matter.

Their point was that you can't hire anyone and use their labor for your own profits, no matter how much you pay them.

No, that's... *freemarketism* - a wonderful invention that American right-wingers came up with, when trying to describe what "capitalism" is.
In reality, the TRUE capitalism was never about the "voluntary exchange."
When one is hungry and another one has money to exploit his/her labor for profit, that is not a "voluntary exchange."
Interestingly enough, the picture might change, when one is a professional ( like, say, particularly in technological sector.)
In this case the person with money and the person with technical skills are mutually interested in each other's service.

In this case, we are talking about the "mutual consent."

( But I already mentioned before that engineers are not some "middle man" - they are the essential part ( if not to say the crucial component) in any developed society.

The market dictates prices. It's call demand. Taking advise from a left wing socialist is like taking medical advise from the Avon lady.
