It's honestly not as high as I'd expect based on everything you read about how close it's coming to overwhelming the system. It's made to sound like there's a shortage of ventilators and that they're going to run out because of Covid, and yet less than half of the ones being used (not the total number mind you) are being used by Covid patients.

I'm wondering what the purpose of this thread is/was.

I’ll never understand firing healthcare workers for not getting the vaccine when they were on the front lines for over a year saving lives. Is that how we treat our heros? Many likely already have natural immunity from recovering from the virus, and you force them to put more into their body? Disgusting.

People complaining about people living their normal lives, many of whom got the vaccine, come across as bitter, lonely and frankly scared people.

Go figure.

He's an idiot.

No I don't think we should 'lockdown' but ignoring the virus has South Carolina moving up the ranks to #4 for a per capita rate....when we have little to no mass transit or population density that would easily explain the spread.

My son works at a restaurant that is seeing a COVID outbreak among the workers...no -- they aren't vaccinated.

One employee was urged to come into work -- even with COVID symptoms and testing positive.

WHy not? We are South Carolina -- we don't need your stinking guidelines.
I have family in SC. They’re beyond stubborn. So, I gave up on them a while back.

It’s utterly embarrassing.

I am aware this is a SC thread--the point was the selective outrage at COVID increases depending on the state. Michigan, for example, has done quite poorly in terms of cases and deaths given the incredibly harsh restrictions that were in place for most of 2020.

Total vents in use in SC is 43%..covid + non covid
That means 57% of the vents in SC are NOT IN USE

Where is the "hospitals are overwhelmed" ?

You can do you own homework, we are not doing it for you and I recommend others do their own homework and educate themselves too.

Oh, that's quite simple. It is/was/always will be to bash the people of South Carolina, Conservatives generally, and independent thought, ultimately.

Didn't Biden call Trump racist for stopping flights from China? I think so. Where did the vaccine come from? It woudl not be around today if not for Trump. Stop spreading your lies.
