Uh huh, well it doesn't matter if you can live with it (you're not his employer). But you're obviously an apologist for this type of behavior. And you apparently don't believe people need to take personal responsibility for their actions
The Raiders organization and the NFL felt his conduct was detrimental to the Raiders and the league so he was terminated (a very sound business decision). Again, it doesn't matter what you think the punishment should be.
One would have to be naive to think a rank amateur that didn't understand the ramifications of these actions could possibly help anyone or be good at his job.
If Gruden doesn't like it and wants to sue, have at it. The amount of business that would have been loss by him far outweighs whatever pittance he'll receive in court (but yeah "they're just words").
Ultimately, the one person that caused Jon Gruden to be terminated is Job Gruden (even though apologists like you will never see that). And if he gets looks from people for the rest of his life and doesn't like that, too bad. There are consequences to actions but I'm sure he can find some like minded people that he can hang out with (if the shoe fits).
