We disagree then.
Not everyone’s opinion becomes policy.

It’s just so common that most don’t even pay attention to vitriol.

I was hoping Trump would eliminate the US department of Education. Schools need local control, only. Parents have to live with the consequences of their children's education. Teacher's don't. No teacher has to house a kid that fails or help them out financially. Parents do that. Teachers need to earn the trust of parents, as they are the "professionals", but at the end of the day, parents are the consumers purchasing a service and should have the control of any consumer purchasing a service.

The government has screwed up schools, the way it ultimately corrupts almost everything it is involved in.

This is the author’s quote:

“As an educator, I've worked on developing and writing curriculum for multiple states and many courses covering a wide range of topics.”

Being hired to write curriculum is not setting policy. That is the job of the school board and administration, state dept of education.
Should you tar and feather ever person whose opinion you disagree with because they one day may be involved in a policy you don’t agree with? Really?

Can you disagree with someone’s opinion more respectfully?

I judge the posters here who refuse to get vaxed and refuse to wear a mask. Mostly they sound like idiots from the false science and stupid things they post.

You don’t say.

Can you stop derailing the thread now?

They didn't want parents seeing them teach online either. Why? What are they trying to hide?

I think some need to be reminded that as taxpayers, they work for us, it's not the other way around.

No, why would I bother tarring and feathering when I can simply refuse to purchase their ****ty product? Free market economics.

If the school boards/admins want autonomy and no oversight, then they don't get guaranteed funding by way of property/school taxes. Earn your money through selling a product/service consumers like, then you can do whatever you want.

I say defund the schools.

Sounds so much more normal. Some people just like the violence.
