Some of these debunked claims have still found their way into Hollywood movies, even recent ones.
The way I see it is this. Just stick to the truth and debunk all Holocaust deniers. Anyone who is a Holocaust denier should not be heard. Said persons have a right to speak, but should not be heard.

How is there any other opinion of the Holocaust other than it was plain wrong period? The same goes for slavery, in any country.

Only a small percentage of Germans killed Jews, why should all Germans feel guilty.

The indifference of the population to atrocities matters.

I don't believe the educator actually meant what she said, just making a point through hyperbole to warn the teachers that some parents will use any excuse to attack the school.

The question is did the average German citizen know the military was killing Jews?

Then was is the proper place for getting an education? From the parents in the home, so they can teach about the holocaust as they wish along with many other things?

What's the alternative viewpoint to abhorrence of mass murder? I suppose it's pure nihilism.

This is all about the bill passed by Texas that went into effect Sept 1, already a second bill (2nd paragraph) is pending. Limiting how teachers instruct on current events. Seems like they have really gone to far with their overreaction to CRT. But it's Texas, a few years ago they wanted science text books to include the teaching of Creationism in addition to Evolution.

Quote:
This law, which goes into effect Sept. 1, includes a list of founding documents that Texas students must be taught. It also includes a list of additional historical documents written by people of color and women that House Democrats had added. It also mandates that students be taught “the history of white supremacy, including but not limited to the institution of slavery, the eugenics movement, and the Ku Klux Klan, and the ways in which it is morally wrong.”

Still, many educators and education advocacy groups had opposed the bill, which states that teachers cannot be compelled to discuss current events and if they do, they must “give deference to both sides.” Opponents say it limits honest conversations about race and racism in American society and will force teachers to equivocate on controversial or sensitive topics that will result in less educated students.

If Abbott signs Senate Bill 3, it would replace that law. The new legislation would require at least one teacher and one campus administrator at each school to undergo a civics training program. Teachers could not be forced to discuss current controversial topics in the classroom, but if they do, they must not show any political bias.

The advent of slavery in America could not be taught as representing the true founding of the United States, but rather a “deviation” from American principles, according to the bill. Students also couldn’t be required to learn about the New York Times’ Pulitzer Prize-winning 1619 Project, which aims to put “the consequences of slavery and the contributions of black Americans at the very center of our national narrative.”

The whole feeling guilty because of something someone in the past did is complete bs. There is a false narrative that white man bad everyone else good. As if pandemic viruses, rape, slavery, war, diseases etc did not exist in North America before whites arrives. Everything you said is true and more is as well. Tons of slavery not taught in schools. The slavery that took place in early US by a small minority of white people is just used as a tool by the left to gain votes, power and money. They really do not care about black Americans or the country for that matter. Power and money…that’s what’s it about.

No, they didn't.

1. The slave labor/death camps were all located in Polish territory. There were prison camps located on German soil too, but no mass executions or deaths took place in the German camps, aside from prisoners who died from being malnourished or starved at the end of the war due to lack of supplies.

2. The Nazi propaganda stated that Jews were trouble makers and that they were being rounded up to be deported out of Europe.

The Nazi propaganda never mentioned anything about mass killing Jewish people or anyone else for that matter.
