This bill they’re trying to pass sucks. Like I mean it really Moderator cut: profanity sucks.
I mean everything that might have been useful to average Americans got stripped away. Guaranteed paid time off, expansion of healthcare, inclusion of vision dental etc. Basically now it just subsidizes baby makers and illegals. Oh, and “green energy” which I don’t necessarily agree with the Democrats completely on either.
At this point, I’d be happier if they dropped the whole thing before it leads to more inflation (since they’re too scared to get the right way to pay for it) and…idk. Don’t seem like we have the right president or certain senators motivated to get real American priorities done.
This Democratic administration's $1.75 trillion framework to cut taxes for ordinary Americans and make it easier for them to afford health care and housing, send their kids to prekindergarten and college, and adopt clean new power for their homes and cars, "sucks?"

Democrats coalesce around a plan to raise taxes on those making more than $10 million a year, to crack down on tax cheating by the richest fraction of 1 percent of Americans and to make sure Fortune 500 companies can no longer pay zero in taxes and you want the "whole thing dropped?"
If these, by your book, "aren't real American priorities", please do tell? The Democrats are governing for the people and the Republicans have folded in fealty to a wealthy, tax cheating con-man and his fantasies, and you assert the country doesn't have the "right" president and motivated Democratic leaders working for Americans?
I'm not even sure what "left" and "right" are anymore.... it seems to mean different things to different people. For example my father an I are traditional conservatives who are also environmentally conservative... we don't waste food, like to conserve energy. My father has a garden and a composter. We both drive fairly fuel efficient vehicles and live minimalist lives.
Many republicans are actually fairly classically liberal, while many of the so called wokesters and cancel culture types could be considered fairly conservative in certain ways with their drive towards PC culture, and a lot of people are hypocrites... like the people who preach being green but fly all over the world a dozen times a year.
All I know is that all our politicians are corrupt, and pretty much don't listen to any of our wants, but rather their wealthy masters that pay them all off to implement policy. That's why we pay baby makers and illegals, fly them into the country in the dead of night to spread covid everywhere, and why the top and bottom suck from the middle.
They need the middle to be worker bees, and yet the middle also seem to be meddlesome pests to the elites also when they try to do grassroot things to take back political control from the ruling oligarchs who do whatever the hell they want. About half the republicans are part of this swamp and the other half don't have the balls to do anything about it and just sit back and collect their paycheck. There's about 5-10% of politicians on either side who are truly effective at fighting for the people, the rest are swamp zombies drinking the semen of the central banks and billionaires. Basically our culture is a victim of it's own success, and has become lazy and entitled.

You can feel how you want. Not to say there’s absolutely zero good in it, but overall no the bill isn’t worth passing as is. Sorry
Some of the provisions in the bill are good, however paid family leave has to stay out of it. I have witnessed first hand how deadbeats on the job abuse family leave by taking intermittent days off(always on Fridays) for their own personal conditions. There are many doctors that are very easy to persuade to gain approval for nothing more than the occasional sniffles. Up to this point employees have to use their own PTO but now will be paid on the taxpayers dime for their abuses. No thanks!

No, it’s more than the parties. It’s term limits, lobbying reform to name a few. But the problem is the elite politically connected hold most of the wealth and have huge interests in the parent companies that own many other companies, even companies that report the “news” .Many of these people sit in board rooms, are married/related to high level figures in Washington. It’s like a huge tangled ball of yarn, the deeper you get the more you see what a mess it is.
As someone who always voted Democrat in the past, I plan on voting straight Republican in the local election on Tuesday. I didn't vote last November....I just could NOT vote for Biden (he scared me and he's actually far worse than I expected!). I couldn't bring myself to vote for Trump either.
However, I'm hoping things turn and the Dems lose power soon. Biden scares me more than ever! He's been a disaster from the beginning! His extreme policies are not sustainable ....and seem crazy to me. The latest being he wants to give some illegal immigrant families $450,000 per person meaning that some of those families will be getting well over a million each!! Why and what does that mean? What about American citizens who are suffering? Why would we be rewarding illegal behavior for people who are not citizens? How does any of this make sense?
In addition, we are no longer energy independent! We were last year at this time and it's now driving up the price of gas and everything.....it's going to be a hard winter for many.
Afghanistan withdrawal was a disaster! There are still Americans stuck there and if that had happened as played out as it did with Trump in power CNN would be having a count of the days American have been left behind....the media is extremely biased.
Then there are all of the mandates which are basically unconstitutional! The Dems want to silence free speech and Biden wants to force law abiding and tax paying American citizens to take what is still basically an experimental vaccine. I find that outrageous! The vaccine does not prevent transmission...so what is this really about? $$$. yet those illegals coming through the border (another huge disaster in the making!!) don't have a mandate to take it.
